Please don’t schedule GW during Tower of Doom or Journey weeks. Those are intense events for the guild, with the battles at the end of the week requiring a significant amount of time.

And please reconsider the troop restriction to avoid CattauriGate, per the GW feedback thread.

Two faction expansions in one month seems excessive. And it honestly seems to early for another vault event. Let’s try to get calendar back to some consistency. This is a hot mess.

Hey. Devs, don’t make Guild Wars during Journey or Tower of Doom. Or reduce the number of battles in the main event. Even before Guild Wars returned, you were told that no one wants to play Wars as an addition to the 80-100 battles of the main event of the week. This is too much for most players. And Guild Wars are not instead of weekend events (almost no one plays them), but in addition to the main event. During the last war, no one wanted to finish Invasion on the weekend and we closed it later than usual. Everyone is tired of playing guild war. Journey and Tower of Doom are two of the most difficult and longest events, they are difficult in themselves. I think that even half of the guilds do not collect the last rewards. If the load for players is too much, they leave the game. And for the last few years, you are forcing out players.

Most of these comments will be dust in the wind. And if the next update doesn’t drastically improve the guild war experience (among other things)…well, I think I will have had about enough.

“Frankly, my dear, I don’t give a damn.”

Guild Wars during ToD and Journey weeks is absurd, please revert this change immediately.

Never thought I’d end up saying this but: Vault again already? We’ve had a vault event every other weekend for the last 6 weeks; it’s too much, particularly for FOMO types who feel compelled to play them rather than sit them out.

I appreciate that some of this was due to Guild Wars being rescheduled to after 8.5’s release; hopefully we can get back to a more regular event schedule soon? The every-4-weeks cadence felt just about right to me.

The alternatives aren’t much better. Would you rather have an extra Bounty event? Faction expansion? more Guild Wars?

If too much Vault event is a bad thing, just treat it as an Arena Weekend and skip it.

Amen to that. Last Vault weekend we had, literally my first gnome was for my missing Verse 3, but for the life of all the bad luck on the board I just could NOT gather any relevant Mana for my DPS troops, and Hoagi got away (after three casts, the taunt).

In a prior Vault weekend, not only was I not able to craft a GAP, not only did I not encounter the Gnome for my missing verse, I did not encounter any Gnomes at all – though to be fair, half the modes I play aren’t eligible for Gnome encounters to begin with so…

As someone who works between 46 and 49 weekends each year, I’m happy about every vault event there is. This year I was able to use 6 GaPs totally despite being able to do a few thousand trophies on any other free day which usually never is between Friday and Sunday. So if I can add another 15-30 minutes of GaPs every few weeks, I’m absolutely happy with that.

Hey, Devs. It’s easy for you, just move the guild war by one week and everyone will be happy. It’s a couple of clicks for you. Guild War and Journey will be strenuous work, not a game. No one needs a guild war of endurance and overexertion. It would be better if it didn’t exist at all in that case.

I just noticed the calendar has Frostfire Keep for Tuesday faction in a Glacial Peaks week. Should be Mirrored Halls. Calendar mistake only or will it be in game too?

Ingame announcement confirms the frostfire keep. Weird stuff.

I’d like to see Guild Wars postponed as well, for a slightly different point of view on top of what was said in the quote.

Paid Reason: Guild War Medallion 3x VP bonuses for GW Battles don’t really mean much on the last week of the PvP Season. A lot of people already hit their target and the extra bonus is wasted, where as GW on the first week of a new season will at least contribute numbers to the season.

A different perspective: Guild Wars takes time away from PvP in the last week of the PvP Season. The people that are short on their targets are losing even more time having to juggle Guild Wars duties on top of the Journey event. It more or less discourages PvP play on this last week due to being way overburdened with so much other nearly “mandatory” content.

It also really doesn’t help that Guild Wars is on the weekend before Memorial Day (Monday) in the United States. As if there’s more reason to stack extra things to do on a long weekend.

I highly doubt there’s going to be any kind of delay for unfortunately a single reason-- if the return of GW sold passes and generated the expected revenue, there was never going to be a postponement in the first place. That would just stand to reason as this is a business after all.

We know from the update timing thread that there’s a new update soon that would seem to dovetail the next GW. I’m already assuming a revised cash shop for the next GW and a push towards making players do more not less.

They’ve already cut labor in terms of the support staff. The quickest way to reduce expenses is to cut labor. Next is the attempt to grow (or at least maintain) revenue. The longer you spend in game, the more opportunities to spend money. This is moving into desperate attempts to remain relevant and ultimately keep the lights on.
