I play in german and maybe it’s a transition problem. I wanted to sort my troops to see which of them “steal collected mana from an enemy”, but I couldn’t find something like that in “Zaubereffekt - Spell effect”, not “stehe Mana” nor “Manadiebstahl” nor "Manaentzug " nor “Mana entziehen”, nor “enziehe Mana”… Just something about resources, not mana, but that means gold. I entered “entziehe” in the text field and found some. Please fix it. It’s an effect like all other.
The spell effect to steal enemy Mana is currently classified under (in English) “Steal Skill Points” – e.g. Sir Mordayne – while Mana Drain is likewise classified under “Decrease Skill Points” – e.g. Manticore.
This is absolutely a problem when searching for this effect specifically, because if anything Mana level is a “resource”, NOT a “Skill Point”. And the current effect called “Take Resources” literally only applies to Gold, because you cannot manipulate other in-battle resources like Souls, Treasure Maps, Traitstones or Gold Keys.
So IMO, what these all need is:
- Rename “Take Resources” to “Steal Gold”
(Note: this is not a perfect solution, since the filter includes troops like Broker of Greed that reduces the user’s own Gold, not the enemy’s) - Split stealing Mana to “Mana Steal” (same wording as the “Mana Shield” trait)
- Split draining Mana to “Mana Drain” (same wording as the “Mana Shield” trait)
@Stratelier
great you see the problem, but you talking about the English version. My question still keeps what it means with the german version? I hope everything will be good with all the synonyms exist in German.
Localization is just a visual thing, the actual behavior is the same under the hood.
I could certainly attempt translating the text into German, I just don’t know if it matches the actual in-game German translation.

Found “Fähigkeitspunkte stehlen” (by word steal skill points) and “Fähigkeiten verringern” (by word decrease skills) . If you didn’t had explain it before, I wouldn’t know what’s the difference or what exactly it means. It really would be good if it would be more clear.
