The Glory Shop troop stinks.
The Godslayer? It’s just like the already-existing Pride Guard, only better. Slightly more damage to start, an equal boost ratio to start, and the latter only improves if you turn the troop shiny.
(This isn’t to say that the Godslayer is worth much – if anything – outside of this event. Just that it’s nearly identical, including Traits, but with slight improvements across the board.)

2x would be better, but … meh, we’ll find out tomorrow.
At least it’s an Ultrarare (aka. no Celestial traitstones required for full traits).
The Godslayer, though, has at least some promise. Combo it with something like Golden Cog or Shield of Urskaya and…
