I have just seen a Lighting bolt icon, show up over the mana count on the upper left side of one of my troops. Does anyone know what that means?
Like with using great maw? That troop can no longer gain mana or cast a spell as it can only do so once

The lighting bolt is not very intuitive at all by any stretch. A Lighting symbol in most cases indicates “charged” status, but your troops status is the opposite as it can never be charged with Mana for the remainder of the battle.
Perhaps something similar to silenced, or if were grayed/blacked out after casting…
