Has it always been the case that we must use actual currency to advance to the next tier? I thought that if we completed the quest story levels we could progress through the free items at least. If we can do that, I’ll have to check again to ensure I’m hitting the buttons in the right spots.

Never mind. There are extra steps needed that don’t involve buying all the goods on level one, for instance, before the next tier is released. 
Hello kingdom crusher achievement appears to still be broken on xbox. I have reached tier 5 achievement tracker now says 80% but the last 20 % is not triggering. Appears i’m not the only one as multiple people on trueachievement.com are experiencing the same thing. As well as no one has unlocked it yet, since it was last discontinued.
Please help been waiting for this fix for years.
Ugh. Chore reborn. Why do you think we want to replay story weve done? Make new content.
Irony is that if they actually thought this, they’ll leave the story replayable all the time, and let anyone who has done it restart it, but instead once it’s done, it’s locked and we only ever see it again when they do a reborn event. Either they know nobody cares about the story, or they think we care and they want to deny it from us. So weird.

It used to require completing the story 5 times. It does not anymore. The help article listing unobtainable achievements is wrong about that.
However, the achievement still appear to be unobtainable. Instead of getting stuck on 1/5 it gets stuck on 4/5. It was listed as fixed in the patch notes but remain broken.
at some point some people (just some) wanted to replay the story. at some point, the lore of the game mattered a little bit.

Some of the faction assaults have good lore (like the Wryrmrun dragons fighting Elemaugrim to try to reclaim their homeland), but nobody really pays attention.
Most of the campaign lore was written in about 5 minutes, so it’s hard to pay attention to any of that garbage. “We need to find pieces to this thing, go try to find this person, or defeat this guy…” I know it’s hard to come up with new stuff, but when I read the artifact lore from the campaigns and see grammatical errors or poorly constructed sentences, it’s hard to take it seriously.
