because failing to tell players important stuff in-game is an ongoing problem that lays the burden on guildmasters instead. The World Event scoring rules – and this week’s are particularly baroque; the Archproxy/Weaver miscommunication and its compensation recipe; and now this bug, withholding information without which players who don’t frequent the forums / aren’t in an actively-communicating guild have no idea what the event is actually about.
And sure, this one is just a cosmetic bug and not significant to gameplay, but still: sigh.
