What you were expecting to happen, and what actually happened:
I wasn’t expecting to see any Kingdom Pass icons appear, since we don’t have a Kingdom Pass event going on. For some reason, right now, the troop preview in Pet Rescue shows an icon on all of the blue troops, as if there was a Kingdom Pass event currently.
How often does this happen? When did it begin happening?
I’ve only noticed it in this particular place. Persistent after game restart. Might be in other places as well. Doesn’t appear in the actual battle, only the troop preview.
Steps to make it happen again
Open the troop preview in a pet rescue battle. (Don’t ask why I did it. Habit, I guess?)
I think that’s the “fire” / “pile of salt” icon for troops matching a Daily Plunder Special Weekly Event for “kill blue enemies”.
(But there’s no special event at the moment, and the errant icons are only show in the pre-battle Enemy Troops battle; in the battle itself, no icons.)
I noticed this on playstation, too. Not sure why it happened, but saw it on the troops before battle (in PvP, I think) and tried to see what it was highlighting, but no events are on that would be highlightable, and nothing came up during or after the battle. I know the most recent patch notes mentioned they were adding something like this, for weekly goals, so maybe they made a mistake when adding it?

Any Troop that contributes to Weekly Goals will have the point icon at the bottom of the Troop’s portrait (similar to Legends Reborn).
Blue troops needed for campaign task this week - blue enemies get an indicator. It was already happening last week.
Everything seems to go in circles and now we’re about a rotation through and back to, in essence, snotstones (which the devs removed as part of game “improvements” and now are putting back on table as part of game “improvements”…why were they removed to beging with, then? Making changes simply for the sake of making changes to show that ‘hey, we’re so busy! look at us working!’). Of course, the latest attempt seems sort of half-baked - only a small indicator on preview screen, nothing after the battle (this should go into “major” rewards, but there is not a hint even in “minor” reward pile).
