Me. Unless you’re fabulously well-to-do, I don’t recommend it.
I am at VIP 30 or so, (don’t remember) but l think l can not get through at a certain level in vain l am a VIP member at that level. I think whatever money you are investing the game, you won’t get the necessery amount of gems for updating the stronger groups. It is a bit disappointing. I was just wonder what other players think about it.

20 is the Max VIP level.
I am Vip 31 on the Sega Dreamcast edition of Gems of War or you shouldn’t believe everything you read on the internet. Choose your own adventure.
I know of several members of my guild who are at VIP 20. I’m not there yet, but did reach VIP 15 today. To me, it’s worth it because I love this game and have a decent amount of spare money that I can afford to spend on gaming. But unless you have plenty of disposable income, I would not recommend going past VIP 6 at most as the cost of higher VIP levels is rather steep.
Just pointing out that compared to free to play (Dragon Armor), these actually translate to
- slightly less than 50% more XP
- slightly less than 75% more souls
- slightly less than 100% more gold
Except these values stack with armor. So VIP bonus would be like using 3 Dragon Armors at once, i.e. a VIP 20 with Dragon Armor gets 3x as many resources as a F2P with Dragon Armor.
That’s exactly the myth I was trying to dispel.
The bonus is additive not multiplicative.

It doesn’t show “BASE”, but let’s add it. Let’s ignore Ring of Wonder and Pets.
Base Gold: 100%
VIP Level 20: +200%
Dragon Armor: +100%
------------------
Total value of VIP Level 20 = 400% base gold.
Free
Base Gold: 100%
VIP Level 0: 0%
Dragon Armor: +100%
------------------
Total value of VIP Level 0 = 200% base gold.
VIP 20 vs Free => 400% : 200% => 2x. Not 3x
You’re right. I was disregarding the base, i.e. +100 vs +300, which is 3x extra, ignoring base.
I.e. if base = 100 gold
VIP 0 with dragon armor: +100 gold for total of 200
VIP 20 with dragon armor: +300 gold, for a total of 400.
In short, I was referring to the extra amount you’d get rather than the total. But since the end result matters more than the individual parts, x2 is a simpler way to envision it.
Mine are:
+105% / +104% (need that few copies to make pet mythic)/ +105%
But i can always switch to: (swapping out dragon for celestial)
+55%/ +154% / +105%
