As per Steam announcement, IP2 is taking over development of Marvel Puzzle Quest:
I wonder how hard this will hit Gems of War. The development team already seems to be struggling to keep up, this move will likely drain further resources. I hope updates won’t become a lot more scarce next year. 
I hope they sack gems of war off. One way of getting me to stop playing 
It won’t affect Gems of War or Puzzle Quest 3 at all, it’s a totally different team of people.
If it did, we would have made our own announcements around that.
Would have preferred if you took over Star Trek - Wrath of Gems, tbh. Not much of a fan of comic books 
Oh well.
There is also Magic: Puzzle Quest, which I have never liked because the boards are all 7x7.

Sounds like a nothing burger to me. I tried mpq its even more dead than gow or pq3. Not as much to do at a certain point like even worse than pq iirc
