After the latest update, I play a few battles, but begin to notice that something sounds off. Literally. A few battles later I figure it out: At the start of every turn (on both sides) there is that circular yellow visual (and sound) effect indicating a natural auto-cleanse of status ailments happening on every Troop not currently having any status ailments! And because it’s repeated for (seemingly) every Troop on the team, this means all the sound FX layered in sync accumulate to a magnified volume level for that sound.
(aside: I know I love to run triple Medals of Orpheus, but that activates with a “Medal of Orpheus” annotation and the “trait activated” sound effect. This is different!)

I noticed this too on Xbox. I assumed it was the astral spire purification perk kicking in, but we don’t need to see it on troops with no bad status effects. It does get mildly annoying. It’s nice to see it triggering on troops that needed a cleanse, but not spamming the effect on other troops. Edit: It doesn’t happen every turn or on every troop, I’m assuming it’s the +20% cleanse chance.
I also noticed it removes Poison, which normally never auto-cleanses. Feature or bug?
I’m noticing it on PS4 as well. I also believe that it isn’t actually doing anything – you get the noise and the yellow circles, but there’s frequently no purification effect if the troop has status effects.
It’s not necessarily every turn. But once it triggers even once in a battle, it triggers again at the start of every one of your turns for the remainder of that battle.
It does not occur at the start of battle, but generally increases in probability the longer a battle goes on – until it’s occurring to literally every Troop every turn.
It does not seem to occur to Troops with freshly-inflicted Status Effects, but when it does, the Troop gets cleansed.
That’s why it looks like it’s just the auto-cleanse chance, except now it’s occurring regardless of whether or not they even have a Status Effect at all.
I’ve seen it trigger on a Poisoned troop, but the Poison stays in place.
