Personally, I think a troop composed of a flock of chickens should be from Zaejin. It just feels right. Perhaps some dirt-farmer human peasant who’s sick and tired of these bloody goblins and has gone out to run them off, armed with his neighbor’s two dozen chickens.

I agree with the Zaejin part. But I think Goblins can farm chickens themselves. Tons of them. Daily bread.
