I know after a certain point it doesn’t matter too much, and that overall team score varies by account age, but I like when the numbers go up so I’m asking anyway.
I’m level 1352, team score in PvP is 18.5k.
All kingdoms at level 15 (working on the last Dragonite dragon before moving on to buying books with gold marks.), all magic and attack kingdom power levels at 20, armor and life kingdom power levels at 9-20, gated by mythics and class levels.
Slowly working on Delves, getting each faction to 2k renown for now, 600 total renown away from +1 armor. I’ll start spending vault event gems here after I’m done with the last Dragonite dragon to speed it up.
Any troops I use in PvP are level 20, full traits. Daily use mythics (Taks, Stella, Pharoah, Zarg, etc.) are gold. Weapons are all full tampering level.
In a good guild, top 150. Suits my playing and completes everything weekly.
Is there anything else I’m missing here that will increase my team score?
Sounds like it. I’m only a little bit (like 100 levels) ahead of you. Also, I just spot checked a couple of my teams. These calculations still seem to be valid. Right after I posted it, I doubted myself. I put this together almost a year ago, so I wasn’t sure.
Edit: Oh my, how time flies. I went back through my records. I had apparently compiled this data between February and March of 2022. It’s been over 3 years ago…
Just in case you are not aware, the team score isn’t something that benefits you, it’s a progression tax. The higher it goes, the less rewards you get from battles like PvP.
Increasing magic makes the most difference and has many benefits for harder game modes and just having more damage and utility throughout the game. Your gem masteries basically “top out” with around a 65%-66% mana surge chance and has some decent value. Attack has a minimal difference and armor is useful for troops like Tesla, but getting more life and armor isn’t really that useful.
Hero level is what hurts the most in PvP because if your level is higher than your opponents, you get less VP. The developers probably thought that the lower level players could “catch up,” but it just makes things take more time for the most dedicated players.
PvP and Guild Wars need a lot of work to balance everything and fix all of the match-making and bugs, but hopefully they will have a better understanding with the community survey. I learned from Roots Seed (who sadly isn’t here anymore) how to make the most use of my time with upgrading kingdoms without spending money, so I don’t stress about the game as much. You can always make progress by trading gems for deeds, but it’s a grueling process that takes a long, long time.
