Improvements to GW (I would like to see)

  1. GW should have a 6 campaign season. During that season you may only use a particular color keep once. At the end of the season you will have had to defend with one keep of each of the 6 colors.
  2. Seasons will be grouped in guilds of 25. During a particular season you will only face any particular guild 1 time.
  3. The previous iteration of GW had a penalty for using multiple copies of the same troop on defense. I would like to see that implemented again. After many chat discussions with other players, mysuggestion is a point penalty be implemented. The penalty would work as follows. Each player with multiple troops would have the number of multiple troops multiplied by the location value and deducted from the starting guild score of zero. For example, if one player had a team with 3 Taks in the temple that guilds starting score would be -1050 points for each of the 4 Battles. If all 3 players had 3 Tak defenses the starting score would be -3150 points.
  4. I would like to see the required number of defenders be reduced from 27 to 25. (You can drop a defender from each of the 2 first player filled defense zones). Further, the overall guild score for a GW would be calculated using only the top 25 scores. If more people play the lowest scores are dropped. This gives guilds with recruitment issues a greater chance to have success. Further people go on vacations from time to time so even top guilds won’t suffer if they can’t sport a full 30 roster against another top guild.
  5. Give the GM the ability to assign 2 Lieutenants to control GWs. Only these 3 can select a keep. Further, they need to have the ability to remove another players defense.
  6. (Optional Suggestion): Create a seasonal reward system that encourages guilds to maximize their scores and not farm the gate vs harder opponents. A Guild score of 30,000 per battle would seem to be a good metric to base the rewards system off of.
