@Jeto can I please get what the devs official position is on the state of journey? Its a truly awful game mode at the moment for two reasons.
The journey troop nerf. This is archaic at this point and needs to be rolled back. It was nerfed because of endless looping capabilities but there are so much more powerful troops than it now. What would fix journey instantly is removing that nerf. And it might give lower players a chance to win more in blood frenzy when they dont have takshaka/khafru/stellarix/flower dragon i can’t spell.
If for some reason you think the journey troop nerf is still a good idea remove docking points for losing troops/battle taking too long. As it is the journey troop is total dead weight and when you get a meh faction like knights battles are going to take much longer.
I despise guild war. Always have. I play this game for the guild events and other stuff and the complete ignoring of the state of journey has gotten frustrating.
The enemy stats are rising slower than they did at their worst. The penalty for taking too many turns should go, and the journey troop could use more thought as it could be a great event with a decent troop. Also there should be a stat increase for every battle choice.
They increased the base number of miles we get, so we now earn the same amount with penalties as we used to with full points. So, they kinda did remove penalties.
Still sucks as a game mode, but it definitely got better.
The turn limit should be increased as battles get harder, or the pathfinder spell should be changed to something with devour or instant kill, to allow for fast battles. There’s no reason to keep using the same lazy copy-paste spell with different colours and troops, now that it’s been nerfed down to uselessness. The first pathfinders were different, there’s no reason we can’t have different ones now. Or ones that summon a random pathfinder, or something, so they combat the miles penalties we can get.
