I want a concrete explanation as to why the flower dragon isnt replaced on defense

@Jeto I dont know if you’ve spoken on this before but what is the logic of replacing stellarix with diamantina but not the new flower dragon with diamantina? Its completely inconsistent and if you haven’t already answered it i believe the dev team owes us an answer on this inconsistentcy. Imo the reason is simply “We don’t care” from the devs

Facing the top dps troop in the game with the kind of restrictions we have is not fair.

Ps: before anyone says git gud ive gone 5-0 every day this week and beaten 4 of the blasted things

We all know the reason Stella got replaced is because the Stella/Wand of Stars combo was unbearable. I don’t think the devs view Chrys as a nuisance, but The Maraji Queen and dual Taks teams do exist.

Its the same as stellarix. The looping potential isn’t quite there but it is there. It hits harder too. There is no logical reason to not remove it

Based off the decision to change Stellarix to Diamantina, it follows the same principle–keep power creep in check and make PvP and Guild Wars more balanced. Chrysantherax can nearly defeat an entire team in one cast, and when it has a 50% mana start with Maraji Queen or a fast mana start with Leprachaun, that can lead to some unbalance.

Whenever I beat those team compositions, I feel like I got lucky with a good board or cripple it with elementalist. And it also seems like if you can’t freeze/stun Chrysantherax or Takshaka by the end of your 2nd turn, you just end up losing.

A good example is today. Had just that. Chrysantherax/maraji queen/leprechaun.

Dragon filled very quickly, got a cast off that killed 3 troops. But I just happened to get reflect on my whole team which killed the dragon and let me win.

Pure luck.

That is a perfect example of “luck” and quite frankly, the game seems to be so full of garbage that it’s not even a fragment of what it used to be. In the “book meta,” for guild wars, we dealt with bandits being summoned non-stop with other annoyances while using Zuul-Goth or Ctharrasque to defeat the hero and deal with the rest of the team.

Personally, I feel like the new Guild Wars is complete and utter nonsense, but I don’t even know how to “balance" it anymore. (And I am not even confident in my analysis of what would be best for everyone).

Do we have a randomly assigned keep to defend each day? Some people can’t play everyday or might be annoyed at assigning defenses for 4 separate days…

Do we change Chrysantherax to Diamantina to make Elemental, Dragon, and Palace defenses easier? Some people like the difficulty while others would enjoy easier battles…

Do we restrict defenses by making players have to use 4 different troops? This would reduce the effectiveness of Takshaka, Pharaoh Khafru, Emberclaw, etc., but that would relieve some of the stress of not knowing what will happen on the enemy’s turn if you can’t disable them with elemntalist…

Chrysantherax needs to revert to Diamantina. Plain and simple. Wand of Stars with Elementalist was the root of the issue though because that could loop for awhile and was pretty annoying.

Honestly.. Stella is still better than Chryssy. Chryssy is strong. But isn’t near as unbearable as stella was.

I disagree. It hits harder and gets rid of skulls. Its looping potential isnt that bad. When the stellarix change first came down I was against it. I didnt have an issue with it in pvp…but that was when I could use my own

I get why Stella/Chrys are viewed as unfair, especially in restricted modes like GW where your tools against them are highly limited. Banning/replacing more troops in Guild Wars sets a precedent, though, that very strong troops that people have worked hard to earn should not be allowed in the mode.

My hope for the upcoming

Bastions

is that they give players enough tools to be able to stand a chance against these beasts and eliminating the need to ban them. There will always be strong, difficult to beat troops, and that’s fine! But hopefully the new system makes there be less frequent impossible situations.

I\m not sure about it - devs said basions should be a helping hand with statuses like a freeze or entangle or something, not chryz)

I dunno if chryz needs to be raplaced - we all are in a same boat - i face dag+chryz, my opponent face them too. 4/1 3/2 3/2 5/0 this GW and it’s new basis - our opponents have played 2 times worse, so victory is victory. If someone just need personal rewards - the gate is the answer, or some other buildings you sure to kill.

Honestly I feel it’s wrong to nerf our troops at all. Let our team be what we set. If they unnerfed the Wand/Stellarix combo they wouldn’t need to ever nerf the new flower dragon. I say remove nerfs from our Journey troops, our weapons like dawn bringer, dusk bringer, wand of stars, Stellarix etc. @Jeto

I haven’t got Chrys , and I actually hate it :rofl:.

But don’t agree with nerfing it, it costs a lot of game time to acquire, definitely not into punishing players that earned it through playing.
