This has been happening for months and I am so over it
Known issue for over a month now. Older Chromebooks cannot be updated to the latest versions necessary to keep running many games on them. Blame Age Verification laws and Google.
My apologies, I should have included that my version is 53.1 & everything I have tried has failed, and believe me, I have tried even the most obscure things.
There is an article that goes over the various different apps you need to make sure are running the latest version, as it’s not just making sure Google Play is up to date but also Google Play Services
We are also looking at what we can do on our side to help players who only have Chromebooks, to resolve this block.
Unfortunately, at the moment, the only option would be to recover your account on a PC/laptop or a mobile .
