How does one turn off alliance chat in pc /mobile

cant turn off the alliance chat in pc/mobile and really why do i see people chatting when i am not allowed too till i am centurion v

Go to chat, then settings, uncheck boxes under behavior.

That box wasn’t uncheckable for me on xbox. Not sure if other people on xbox are having that same issue but it wouldn’t go down from the guild chat box to the alliance chat box for me to uncheck it.
