Guild Wars Reimagined

So first doesn’t get 1,500 gems and second 1,000 and so on at the end?
Only daily rewards?

That’s correct.

inb4 it’s mentioned, I have shared an extensive amount of feedback around the individual player rewards, the whole Guilds rewards and the Leaderboard rewards

Thanks for responding back. I guess we will see first hand in a few weeks when it rolls live.
This could make or break the game.
As always every update does and I’m curious of how this will all play out.
Good luck everyone and hopefully it goes live bug free. :bug:

thank you for the reply and as always much respect to your guild

And thank you for answering our questions. We have 2 weeks to prepare defenses and attack teams and hopefully no crazy surprises, such as certain restrictions not working.

Shouldn’t be able to attack with them if you can’t defend them, just watering the difficulty more like GW’S of explore

Dissapointed.
This is NOT Guild Wars!
This is a totally new game mode.
Why!?

Play 5 battles daily against members of the opposing guild while using a team with a specific restriction on it and trying to reach maximum efficiency to score those tasty bonus points.

This has not changed. The game mode is very similar to what it was, albeit with additional opportunities to strategize and a wider variety of restrictions. Better rewards, too.

I disagree, the mode is completely different: the new restrictions reduce the pool extremely, eliminating the decision-making ability of the players

The scoring system no longer rewards efficiency: it is based on turns and not on actions, it does not take into account the damage received and the mana generated by the opponent
Unlike the old system, in the new one the bonus score will be independent from the base one, further reducing the impact of the players’ skill:

@Jeto I need seem clarification…

  1. Do the defense requirements ever change in a colored keep?
    I.E. Does the provided example in the first post stay the same each Guild Wars?

  1. Is there any penalty/bonuses for repeating troops on defense anymore?

  2. Can all guilds defend the same color Keep by choice?

Rimuovere Stellarix e Bacchetta delle Stelle dalle difese è stata una pessima idea.
Chiedere di renderle più deboli, come richiesto da un altro giocatore è un’idea stupida

i am concerned that this will make it pay to win.

The restrictions and bonus points are definitely the biggest two changes. I wonder how many guilds outside the top few brackets payed attention to bonus scoring, though. I can’t imagine many did, given that ranking outside the top few brackets gave pointless rewards. In my 7.5 years playing the game, I’ve never given a second thought to bonus points, and though my experience certainly doesn’t speak for everyone, it’s notable that casual players far outnumber more competitive players.

I know this is somewhat controversial, but I’m a fan of the additional restrictions which started with World Events, came into PvP, and are now being introduced to Guild Wars. It forces players to build teams smarter, not just throw together a Doomed Book and empowered converter. We can’t just use Stellarix or Takshakas to lead all our teams. Battles will be varied rather than fighting the same (or very similar) team 5 times in a row.

Personal preferences may differ, of course :slightly_smiling_face:

The main problem I have with guild wars is balance. Yes, that “balance” that we were advocating for years. Elementalist overtakes everything and limiting Guild Wars to kingdom class restrictions was not in our best interest.

*We won’t have elementalist to shut down teams that loop or have a fast start. (Warlord is horrible, but we will have to use it).
*We won’t have a wide variety of troops and weapons to counter certain team setups. (Wand of Stars can’t save us anymore).
*Starting boards and first moves are now even more subject to losses, bad luck, and just bad experiences. (Firebomb is not really empowered and summoning in a new troop for that seems like it’s not going to work).:rofl:
*It puts more stress on people to have every option available because the kingdom restrictions will make it even more challenging. (Newer players will feel even more left out).

  1. No, the restrictions are set per Keep currently
  2. There are no penalties or bonuses for your team builds
  3. As you can pick your Keep for your Guild, then yeah all Guilds can select the same Keep map… but it’s not all literally the same Keep.

How? As VP is not counted towards anything in Guild Wars. We are not rewarding any additional GW Points/Score for purchasing the Medallion.

Good to know! I think that was the concern since it was mentioned that the Medallion triples the usual yields (including VP) from battles.

so the VP is specifically for PvP and not counted towards the guild wars score?

correct… VP is not related to anything in Guild Wars, it is just PvP

@Jeto Hi,

  1. clarify again the question on class restriction, because there is a possible double interpretation of the previous answer (where you were asked about CLASS and weapons):
    at the first guild war will there be a BROKEN SPIRE and the class restriction in attack is WARLORD? or can we use any class in attack?
  2. will there be any class restriction in defense based on positioning in keep in defense?
  3. currently in pvp medals in defense are disable, it does not depend on what medals are selected from the defending player (this can be seen if in pvp battle click on the army and look at its bonuses and do not find anything about medals). accordingly, the question - in GW in defense will be affected by the medals of a particular player? I hope that I do not need to explain how important this is (hello freeze without orpheus).
  4. if a player left the guild during the setup of defense and a new player came - he will be able to participate in the guild war? I understood correctly that the line - is an hour before the start of the first day of battles?

@Jeto, Hi there! Answer 2 questions please^

  1. Are the current attack restrictions include class OR only weapon (broken spire)?
  2. At a “map” of a keep there’s a “ways” between tiers. Are they real ways between bildings? For example in a green keep if i chose to beat Glade at a first tier will i able to chose a Portal (not connecnted to a Glade) at a 2 tier? And if I beat a Coockhouse - i will hawe no other options besides of beating maze after it?
