Guild Wars Reforged Feedback

Both the scores and the names of the guilds my guild was shown to be fighting on the day of battle were different than what was reported next day. With a Stat report generated 30 minutes after rollover totally at odds with one that was reported to a different guildmate 6.5 hours after rollover. Who knows what’s accurate then? Should have been fixed by now.

And I need to be able to see all player stats, wins/losses, total played for guild leader purposes as well. please.

Very frustrating to see zero meaningful updates since last GW. How about some responsiveness to player feedback and transparency to dev priorities?

I’ve invested significant funds and more substantial time to this game. No more $$$ until/unless there are meaningful updates and getting close to a prohibitive level of frustration with the game.

Hello Jeto and the entire community,

I’m extremely disappointed with this Guild Wars! Not only did we face either a dead guild or a guild created by the Devs… It was absolutely BAD ! Where’s the fun and challenge in playing like this?? Furthermore, we can’t buy the Guild Wars Medallion, and we also have a Crash Game bug when viewing the Guild’s activity!
I can feel the end of the game coming; the Devs aren’t doing much anymore!
As they say: Every beginning must come to an end!

Update. Our guild actually likes the new guild wars better. We are Level 14 on regular god level leaderboard. We have players from level 1000 to 1947. Players that are at lower levels are struggling but can play the gate, paragons can play to the palace. This allows more freedom to play where you are able. At first we weren’t sure if we wanted to opt out, but decided the rewards were worth it. However, we were disappointed when we could not buy the medallion during this event. That might change whether we decide to opt in in the future.
Was the medallion a bug, or was it locked on purpose? If it was on purpose we might not play future events.

If you have a bug, that does not already have a bug report thread, please create one. So it is not mixed in with feedback here.
Also, I understand the frustrations, but while I’m trying to gather feedback, it will make it a lot easier if I am also not filtering out (valid) complaints about the game, the game modes etc.

Feedback: forcing us to use the restricted team (as opposed to encouraging us via bonus points, like in the previous GW) is universally hated by our guildies.

E.g. they are forced to either avoid fighting severely unbalanced battles such as the Palace (and thus feel like they are letting the guild down) or risk losing battles, therefore losing their individual bonus track rewards for the week.

I did not use a mythic on my attack team and went 20-0. I fought the teams you mentioned. You should have had an immortal to use. Went with Centuragon, Broken Star (Exploder and Summons), Immortal Sagirrarian, and Astral Spirit with Elamentalist. The goal was to use get Immortal Sagirrarian up for True Damage the strongest enemy. Pretty simple if you know when to use each troop.

The PvP icons should be removed from the rewards especially if the event is in the last week of a PvP season. Or these ones should be allowed to roll over and give full value. Currently they are pretty pointless.

Our guild has already participated in the first Guild War!
However, we still haven’t received a ranking to date!! When will that happen?

So is this a bug or not?

Everything that was wrong with it the first time is still wrong with it now.

Evitamos a los jugadores que sólo luchan batallas fáciles para conseguir las recompensa y evitamos también por error luchar 2 veces en la misma sala.

@devs. You need to listen to your community. Stop guild wars. It doesn’t work in its current state. Do the work to fix the bugs BEFORE you bring it back again. You are killing your game and your reputation. PLEASE listen to us. Don’t bring it back in June. Take the time to read the feedback. Fix the problems and then test it before re releasing it

And that was “New and improved GW” round#2. As a short recap: Old, good working GW was canceled over a year ago to “improve things”. When it came back, it was already way more flawed then the old version. I pointed out several things there which needed improvement then, and for whatever reason, April GW was cancelled and GW delayed to end of May which we just had. While apparently nothing had changed, and the leaderboard pairing just showed it does not properly work. Something we also already had last time, but it was brushed under the rug because “no scores to actually form a leaderboard yet”.

Quite frankly, I don’t understand why you don’t get your act together here. You HAD it working for years before you took it down to “improve it”. You worked on this “reimagined GW” for a year, and just took the needed stuff out to add the pathing roads and dumbed down defense system, while at the same time clamping the Attack teams down to one kingdom. Kingdoms, which vary hard in their usefulness. Like first time we would get Mist of Scales or Nexus, the attack teams will look like powerlevel 9000 compared to what we could use so far. Anyway, here I go again since apparently last time nobody gave a fuck.

  1. thing we desperatly need back, is a god damn Guild internal scoreboard, to SEE Who is playing, Who is making how many points. This is essential if you want to have guilds compete in ranking with each other. They need to see which players are slacking and need replacement. WE HAD THAT in old GW. I don’t know which genius thought taht has to go, but bring it back.
  2. The “guild internal” scoring, would also help to find those numb nuts in your guild who waste all their 5 attacks on the stupid Gate.

    On day#4 for us, seemingly a few extra members tried to troll the rest of us who takes GW serious and want to score high. But since we can’t check Who does that shit, we can’t start asking them specificly to change their attitude or leave before they get kicked if they do that crap again. Seriously: GIVE US THE SCORING BACK! Why even have a ranking board for Guilds if guilds have no method to sharpen their claws?
  3. On a similar note: Give us back a way to see how our Defenses do. You limited the Defenses to specific buildings. Fine. But now give us a method to see how successful they actually are, so we can change and improve non-working teams. We had that already back in old GW days and while it was not perfect, at least it gave us some chance to improve on defenses.
  4. And from there I jump right into the 6 Kingdoms we have, with their various “Defenses”. As far as I see it, their different mechanics for their precious Guardian, who only shows up at the Gate OR in “empty building” slots is pretty much meaningless. Probably better then nothing but for the upper Leaderboard were 27 people block building spots, it feels meaningless. However, what plays an excellent role here Defense wise, are the buildings themselves. The Kingdoms have a good variety of strong and weak Defense buildings. For example Stryx building? Laughable. Dragon, Elemental, Mystic or Naga building are a whole different story. Which brings us to one especially critical Kingdom: The Green one

    Most other kingdoms have a somewhat fine spread out Defense. But the Green one, has Divine and Naga in the direct Inner Defense before Palace. Palace itself with complete access to everything Green is also pretty hardcore compared to other Kingdoms but that is color specific and for example Blue can rather sport a pimped Glaycia, etc.. But 2x Takshaka hell up there feels like too much. Can Takshaka teams be beaten? Yes. Is it easy? Often, no. Basically if they get two casts out, you might be in deep trouble. So back to the Kingdoms: Red kingdom has zero Divine/Naga building. Yellow has Divine in the middle defense. Purple has Naga in the middle defense. Blue has zero Divine/Naga. Brown has zero Divine/Naga. WHY has Green then both Divine+Naga and both in the top Defense spots?? Seriously, take one of those buildings out there and replace it with something less powerful. Maybe drop the surviving building into the middle to bring it in line with other color kingdoms? Or, just an idea that was probably voiced often enough since Takshaka was introduced, nerf his card?? Its insane true damage on two targets, which we can’t evade with deluge. And his Gem spamming to fill up, gets worry some if Three Taks show up to defend a Blood Frenzy PvP Kingdom or the GW Defense Buildings, wer the card itself gets buffed for higher stats. The Green Kingdom is certainly an outliner. Granted, we only fought 2of4 matches there but over long it will be the “default kingdom” because it kinda has the strongest Defense options in preventing the enemy to get points. I would not be surprised if the actual top guilds would all use Green Kingdom and in theory would have to fight near always in Green Kingdom as well. But since the ranking apparently got its own problems in not properly working, hard to check it probably.
  5. Btw. what about Chrys? Wand of Stars is still changed to Prismatic Orb (often seen in Defenses). Stellarix probably still gets downgraded to Diamantina. But not many defense building options for him in the first place so not seen that often these days. Still, Chrys goes unchecked in the Defenses were applicable. Like Palace, or Elemental. Chrys is similar to Stellarix a huge asset with extreme potential dmg. If it casts once, your team is probably in deep trouble. Two casts, he can manage to loop that fine enough, and your team might be toast. Deluge at least helps here, so we can try to take tactical measures against Chrys. Still, the card is a bit extreme. If Stellarix gets still downgraded, maybe its time to downgrade Chrys too before we start Reimagined GW round3.

Jeto’s management, especially forgot to tell him to send us as a priority this Monday morning their most sincere apologies for this huge GW joke, for this multitude of bugs, for all responses to players on these 4 days of catastrophic GW, we had last night, one of the two posts closed explaining to us that we should not talk about bugs in the conversation, and in the other conversation we are just told that it is a visual bug, we are really taken for donkeys, it is also a visual bug to meet the same guild 3 days in a row and to lose 3 days in a row??? it is also a visual bug to be massacred by the 4th guild in the world??? (only 4 players from our country were able to beat the palace out of 30 players, congratulations to our opponents), please ask your management if this is their idea of ​​an Event where we should have fun and not be disgusted by what we experienced over 4 days, it is true that I do not live in Australia, so the customs of politeness are perhaps not the same in your country as in the rest of the world, I will go and find out on the Internet if in Australia the word “apologies” exists in your country or not. News flash, less than 1% of the player base owns it. Which is everybody who paid for it, plus a lucky few who won the jackpot. These number will change over the next months, when it no longer matters.

That’s actually a bad result for being part of the privileged F2P stomper group. Cattauri King was such a Free Win button, I wonder how they are intending to top this for the next GW to increase sales.

Well…we do get dwarves, but I don’t think it will be so bad. And I honestly meant that as a joke, and I had no intention of ruining our next Guild War experience.:rofl:

Apothecary will be MVP, and if we get to choose any weapon, we will have plenty of options to lay waste to our opponents. Stone hammer is a great tank that can stun opponents, we have a 50% mana start troop that most people should have by now, plus plenty of other options. Biggest problem will be the damage, but our hero can solve that problem pretty easily.

I wouldn’t jump to the conclusion that it’s due to trolling.

They could just be selfish, because the personal GW reward track is at odds with the guild goal. If you’re only at 13/18 wins on Day 3, you have to choose between guaranteed wins to get all personal rewards, or fighting for guild victory of some extra marks.

They really should change the requirements for the personal rewards.

Might be. But we jumped from 33-36 at Gate suddenly to over 40 on the last day. Feels a bit like after three days complaining they should not attack the Gate five times, a few candidates just went the “Oh yeah? Up yours!” road.

In the end, they would gain MORE rewards, if we would actually win the day over “pathing bonus”. Attacking 5x the Gate is 500 points and brings nothing for the Path-progress to benefit the Guild. And while I had a bad day myself and played 3/2 in a green kingdom (the joy of walking Elemental → Divine path), I made 502 points doing so while at least trying to help the Guild with the pathing-progress by choosing the most difficult route so maybe a weaker player could walk the easier way and level the buildings up along there.

At this point it also does not matter so much if some people do it intentional to spite the ones who take GW more serious, or if they are just lazy and do the absolute minimum and don’t understand a single word when you broadly explain things ingame or over discord. The main problem here is we can not see Who does What. They can hide in anonymity and the Guild leadership does not know who either talk to, to play things right, or just kick out and replace with someone more willing to actually play for the greater good. We just need some internal tracking to see whats up with the players. In an ideal version we might be able to track which path everyone choose to fight. But in the most basic way, a scoreboard to see how many points someone scored with what fights (like in the old days) would already be sufficient. 5/0 and 500 points total? Yeah, there is one of the lazy Gate bums. 4/1 800 points? Someone seemingly failed on the way to palace or at palace fight, but walked up to the inner defense at least and leveled the buildings along the way. Right now we see nothing. And that situation needs to be fixed. Best two Guild Wars ago -,-

On console, let the cursor move freely around the guild-keep screen and “snap” to the nearest building, like the way the cursor moves on the world map. The cursor movement as it is is wildly unintuitive.

Granted, this is hardly the worst of New Guild Wars’ problems, but it seems like it’d be a fairly simple change. The behavior already exists elsewhere in the game.
