Must… play… PvP… no time for explore…
Great idea!
Terrible idea. Gnomes should only drop useful things. If they wanted to create some new type of gnome, the only good things they could drop are globes, books, and at the very least, maybe instead of souls, gold marks.
Given the state of the gnome pool as it stands now, what realistic benefit would you get even if there was this hypothetical Badge Gnome? Even during a Vault weekend, he’d show up so infrequently as to not matter.
If you want tokens and badges and medals, you need to make time for Explore and do it that way.
There are resources that are much more difficult to farm and acquire. And that have been much more meaningful to the chattering classes who opine in these spaces. Gnomes haven’t been the solution to those, either.
There are plenty of teams out there that can splatter Explore-12 pretty quickly. If you chase the bonus regions around the map of Krystara, you can actually get into a pretty healthy farming rhythm even if you haven’t leveled up your kingdoms to the point where you get bonus mythstones on top of everything else.
But you shouldn’t expect that one game mode will give you everything.
Combination of statements mine, to make the point: there is nothing wrong with certain things having mostly exclusive acquisition methods.
Otherwise … what’s next, a “Faction Gnome”?
Gold marks are already given in PvP, so why scatter them around and make it a useless resource such as many before… I do understand your point as everyone needs something, but that kinda was the point… ME WANT, NO TO VAULT CEDRICS!!
It would take all kingdoms at max level 30 to make gold marks useless. So I don’t think you need to worry about that…plus them adding new mythics at 2500 gold marks…
I totally get what you mean. I ain’t waiting for freebies. BUT for sure I used less time for the game in the past and got along just fine. Writing this just now makes me think if my priorities in the game are a bit off as I am missing a lot of medals, and yeah, fighting for the time, as PvP gives the deeds…
we only need one more gnome as the game stands, a deed gnome, a random deed or as an epic drop a random deed book.
If we can use the developers’ past as prologue, your “deed gnome” is not and never would be that generous.
But he’ll gladly drop a handful of parchments, quill pens, and inks. Which will allow you to complete the brand new recipe in the Soulforge to trade a slew of each plus one selected older resource that has been piling up in your “treasure” in return for Writs.
