The lack of an exploder weapon for Ghulvania would be easier to tolerate if there was anything resembling a decent mana generator within the kingdom. But there aren’t any troops there who explode a significant number of gems, nor is there a troop (or weapon) that destroys a large number of gems, and there aren’t any empowered converters (or maybe ANY converters) to work with.
I won all five of my Guild Wars matches today – although one of them was a near-run thing when I had to sit through a double-Gobtruffle team looping me several times in succession – but two of those matches took long enough that the enemy Guardian popped up and cast on me. Because it takes forever to fill the powerful troops/weapons from the region.
This is one of the main problems that this game has had for years. The developers do not, and will never see how the game should function from a player’s perspective.
After 10 years, every kingdom should have a balanced mix of troops that generate mana, deal damage, or provide support. Most troops have no purpose, even in a kingdom or troop type restriction, and whoever designs these troops has no idea what they’re doing. Glory troops don’t have to be garbage all the time because as an example, Jeweled Golem is amazing.
And the inconsistent distribution of weapon spell effects is just…horrible. Mountain crusher was created years ago, and it is one of the simplest, yet most effective mana generators. The weapons we get nowadays are hardly ever used and are complete garbage.
I would put more trust in a kangaroo to design the next glory troop or mythic, rather than them.
