A troop that’s all about freezing enemies, in an event where most enemies we’ll be fighting with it can’t be frozen. Uhhhhh… it’s a choice, I guess.

Fionnuala has a decent chance to loop after destroying a tower, even though the freeze is useless against them. Frost Spider joins Daughter of Time for another troop that can impact battles with web, freeze, and an extra turn.
Glacial Peaks is always a breath of fresh air because the weapons and troops have so much synergy, and people don’t have to think as hard when trying to make teams.

Glacial peaks is actually kinda annoying. Plenty of power (way too much overlap) and a lack of real options for generators. Kinda reliant on Daughter of Ice to get started.

Everyone has their own opinion, but I never had any real issues with Glacial Peaks. The Mythics do have a lot of mana overlap, but it’s honestly fine–people can just use Saphirax, King of Ravens, or Immortal Glaycia and build a team around it. I always enjoyed using Ice Sapphire with Daughter of Time because exploding hourglass and freeze gems is very powerful. With a full team of Fey and Kingdom troops, Immortal Glaycia has more than enough damage to send enemies to their icy doom.

I agree with this completely. Glacial Peaks is definitely and always has been one of the stronger kingdoms. Without the overlap and if there was more generators, i think it’d be way too strong. Pairing Raven + Daughter of Time for example is just nutso for instance. If it were easier pairings, it would be really OP. Not saying that doesn’t exist, but GP is far from being annoying. It’s not Grosh Nak or something like that.

… Queen Wilhelmina is in there for the first time, for all us lazy F2P types who didn’t purchase a campaign pass and who haven’t gotten lucky with gacha pulls from not-Gold keys.
