[FIXED IN NEXT UPDATE] Lycanthropy not halving health

Platform, device version and operating system:
N/A

Screenshot or image:
Board started with Bladewing, circled here.

Lycanthropy changed Bladewing to Corpse Mare.

What you were expecting to happen, and what actually happened:
When a troop becomes a beast via lycanthropy, its health should be halved. The pictures above show that isn’t happening though.

Transform halves health though. The devs recently stated Lycanthropy should behave like transform for health.

How often does this happen? When did it begin happening?
Every time since Lycanthropy has been released.

Steps to make it happen again
Make a troop change to a beast with lycanthropy

Just to illustrate the contrast with the transform by The Possessed King: affected troop level is halved, therefore making the ‘debuff’ an actual debuff, while maintaining consistency on how transform works, as alleged by the quote by a Mod in the OP.

level is halved and troop is untraited

Salty has said that that the transform should behave like The Possessed King and Night Hag (see quote in OP). Those halve the level of the transformed troop, as shown by AMT.

The lycanthropy transform is currently behaving like troops whose spells transform themselves, such as Baby Dragon, Bat Swarm and Nosferatu. Those preserve the level of the transformed troop.

To illustrate, here’s a Baby Dragon and a transformed Baby Dragon from The Warrens level 410, both are level 328.

Using the wrong flavour of transform for lycanthropy could also explain why transformed Valravens do not give sigils.

Salty also said this won’t be implemented until the next major update due to the nature of the changes.

This is their first real try at changing/altering the base gameplay mechanics to the game and they have FAILED, but at least they are trying. Yes there are hiccups, yes they have broken some of the mechanics of the game, but they are trying. That’s the real point I think. They need to learn that hot fixes are their friends and to THROUGHLY playtest their improvements to gameplay better before release. Hell, even maybe… asking the community what they think before shoving stuff out. This is a classic case of trying to do good but instead stepping on the brown bag that’s on fire on the porch.

Your game is stale and you are trying to fix that. Awesome! Just don’t mess up everything else that works at the same time… K?

This bug report was posted before the announcement of halving health coming in the next update.

I see this has been tagged as fixed in the next update so woohoo!
