I am not completely upset with the reset of weekly progress to 0 as that did come with a payout of the weekly rewards that I previously earned. However, a relegation to Ruby was not warranted.

It happened today. I suspect others got unexpected promotions and relegations.
Tomorrow there will be a data push to anyone who have their weekly PvP progress reset as though it was weekly reset, returning the Weekly VP that was earned this week.
Any rewards that were collected from your inbox, or mail sitting uncollected for the “end” of the PvP Week will also be removed.
As for a fix, this should be going out in the next few hours to prevent more people being affected
Wait, this won’t remove the regular uncollected PvP rewards mail sent at the start of the week, right? I usually save that up to use the boosters on a good blood frenzy zone, I’m probably not the only one.

No, it should only target people who went through weekly reset today and have those logs

I’ve gotten confirmation that the fix will only target the players who went through this second weekly reset. Everything that was received at weekly reset at the start of the week will remain untouched.
I might have spoken too soon. I was hoping to be restored to the league that I was in and that returning the rewards I collected on Tuesday would be acceptable in trade. But it sounds like (and correct me if I am wrong) that I am going to stay in the league that I was relegated to. I also see no indication that my weekly VP will be restored.
