Faction Expansion - Obsidian Depths

This weekend Obsidian Depths is getting an expansion. The faction’s Deep Delve will become available for players to enjoy (once they complete Delve Level 100 or higher). It will also be gaining a new Epic Troop – the Alabaster Knight. This troop will be available in the event shop this weekend, and will appear in…

I would like to send a personal thanks to the artist who created the Alabaster Knight. He really captures the essence of a holy knight, trying to defend his kingdom.:star_struck:

He does make for an interesting contrast with the “obsidian” theme in the rest of the faction.

Otherwise, doesn’t seem like too much to write home about. Buffing his own Attack + Armor is good for a Troop in the 1st position (Terra Wyrm, Wild Knight, Polymetis, etc), but no Skull Resistance, not even Barrier? Huh.

Yeah, it’s odd that he doesn’t get any damage reduction, and his traits are mostly useless. (Maybe due to a bad AI creating him or not caring, idk). Personally, I still think it’s one of the best looking troops.

Incredibly weak traits for an epic, imo

This troop definitely should’ve had some skull reduction.

It’s odd for this troop to not have any skull reduction, but it’s not quite unique among Hellcrag troops. There are something like 27 Construct-type troops in Hellcrag (and the Obsidian Depths) and only 21 of them have Stoneskin – there are six others that don’t have any including two others from the Depths. (Chromite Sphinx, Obsidiaxis)

Mind you, it does seem nonsensical considering the role of the troop, but we should be used to nonsensical decisions out of the developers by now.
