Evil Dragons

At first I found it strange, that the most expensive dragons are also the most useless… But then I realised that it is absolutely in line with the recent game “development”.
I do hope that they will be given a buff, though (as it happened to Stellarix).

The most disgusting part is.

It’s actually cost that person more dragonite, than it would of waiting a year, and making them in the forge

For a premium price.

That shouldn’t even, be able to happen.

Absolutely disgusting, and to get over ten of any dragon, shouldn’t be possible either.

That really shouldn’t be allowed :dotted_line_face:

The thing is that these needs more than a buff. They also need a total new spell and in addition a 3rd trait fix, and I am not sure if the Devs will care enough to do all of that.

Awww dude, felt wrong to “like” this post… same thing happened to me with the floral dragons. Just hope they put these dragons into circulation with the other craftable dragons in the soulforge.

Since we now have four sets of dragons wouldn’t this be a good opportunity to put dragonite gnome in epic vault keys? Chaos shards are an insult at this point

I suspect players would put 3 of those into a team even if the spell just dealt 1 damage to a random enemy, for 50 mana.

@Kezef if you were the Devs now, which changes would you have done to the Evil Dragons?

After opening the eggs 10 times, I got 6 evil dragons.

Beyond my suggestion above of making these guys (and the previous sets) Boss/Dragon instead of whatever they are now? (I believe the first set is Boss/Dragon, the second set is just Dragon, and the third set is Elemental/Dragon.)

I don’t like the second and third traits very much. Resurrection is obnoxious, as anybody who has fought an Infernal King without Stun can attest to. Or Quetzalma. (Or those of us who remember the old version of the Dragon Soul.) And Bless/Cleanse is common enough to the point of near-ubiquitousness, that status vulnerabilities aren’t as meaningful as they used to be. (Curse is also common enough to the point of near-ubiquitousness that status immunities also aren’t as meaningful unless it’s Invulnerable.)

Since I don’t want an upgrade in spell damage, because I abhor the inflationary spell-power spiral that this game is getting trapped into? Either I’d make the second trait some level of Spell Armor or I’d make it some sort of Status Immunity tied to the specific dragon’s abilities. And I’d make the third trait “inflict (curse + other status effect) on a random enemy when I match 4+ gems”. Or “when I match (my color) gems”, with the 7th Evil Dragon using skulls. It doesn’t matter that neither “new” trait is original. (Well, maybe doing it with color and not 4+ would be.)

If the Evil Dragons were viable tanks (with spell and skull damage reduction) and irritating on defense with their ability to inflict curse + something else, they’re useful troops without the spell. The spell remains expensive, especially for a team that’s slow on mana generation, but at that point the spell is simply sprinkles on the sundae and doesn’t have to be the sundae itself.

Thanks for your input! One of the problems I am also seeing is that there is no way to top what already is out like with Stellarix and/or Chryst. I can’t see they make a stronger dragon than which is already out, as they are bloody overpowered already. They can make the evil mother dragon equally good in a way in damage output, but that wouldn’t give anyone a stronger troop or something different than we already have.

I believe the status effects in their spells was given to make them somewhat different, but it just doesn’t work, because most status effects aren’t really much game changing. Most battles over in a matter of a handful of turns.

Also as it currently are, they are simply not good enough as people have to dump an awfully lot of expensive Dragonite into winning the lottery to get them all. The Mother dragon especially needs to be equally good as Stellarix/Chryst, there is no way around that.

I don’t blame devs for not coming up with any changes yet on this, as I can’t see any good changes myself. I am rather confused.
