If people are quitting then I would hope it’s not solely down to the trials themselves, but I could understand it on the basis of the direction the devs taken to get to this point, how that bodes for future updates, and the continuing sense of detachement between those devs and the players.
More intriguing than people quitting is the number of people playing Epic Trials compared to those ignoring it despite being at end-game.
There was plenty until they added potions to events
Nothing in Gems of War is mandatory and quitting Gems of War is a choice. Nothing funny about it. Probably good for them if it means less stress in their life. The way Gems of War is currently, none of it is worth the stress. Removal all Skulls
Even though I’m End Game, I’d not done all the Challenges because they seemed a pointless grind and one that I could do later to advance those Kingdoms.
Suddenly, the only way to complete the requirements for advancement is for me to do tedious Trials with crap troops.
True, but it’s just trial level 6, right? Not the epic trials, or even finishing the base trials. Are any of the new trials difficult at level 6? None of the ones I’ve tried are.
The epic trials just give another avenue to get an additional pet, which helps level up kingdoms. You could skip them entirely for any kingdom in which you already have 5 pets and 4 at mythic without impacting anything in the game except your pet collection itself.
Trial 6 = cpu Lv.50, not difficult at all. It’s only cpu Lv.100 and up that’s the problem.
For comparison, I have a permanent global bonus (kingdoms/renown) of about +20 Attack, +30 Armor/Life, +10 Magic, I can throw together almost any four random troops and they’ll already be statistically comparable to a Lv.50 cpu troop.
