While Epic Burning Chests in theory is a good idea it needs to be modified again.
I just opened 5 Epic Burning Chests and spent 125 Burning Marks
Just to get Burning Marks from the chests
To the tune of 3, 6, 6, 6 and 3 Burning Marks
So I spent 125 Burning Marks to get 24 Burning Marks
And these Burning Marks were purchased
Why is this even possible?
You should not get Burning Marks from chests you are opening with Burning Marks
And if you do get Burning Marks it shouldn’t be less than what you are spending
If you’re getting burning marks, you must have already maxed out the immortals in those chests.
If you look on the epic burning chest menu, it says which immortals are included (3 random, weekly, plus the featured one), so if you don’t need those immortals’ souls, then don’t buy the epic burning chests this week.
I agree that the conversion rate, when you get an immortal you already had, is terrible, and you basically just lose a load of burning marks for nothing, but this was stated in the notes when burning marks launched, and isn’t specific to epic burning chests. It does suck, though.
If I understand what you are saying then this process is still very wrong. The Featured Immortal is the only one of the 4 this week I have maxed.
So if I am getting the very low quantities of Burning Marks, because they are Burning Marks for the Featured Immortal then this needs to be corrected.
IMHO, if you have one of the Featured or Non Featured 4 troops maxed they should be excluded from the souls that you receive from the Epic Chests.
I was afraid this would be the case when the Epic Chests were introduced.
I guess I won’t open anymore Epic Chests when an Immortal that I have maxed is in the pool.
This still needs to be corrected.
It just follows the current trend where there is either no duplicate protection or the exchange rate they put in is just awful.
The refund system after you max out Immortals has very little value, just like after you max out shiny troops. It should honestly just give you Immortal souls for troops that you don’t have maxed yet because the exchange rate is so bad.
We have 11 pvp seasons planned, so maybe they will rework this in about 2 years when there are no players left…
If they weren’t actively trying to sell players more burning marks, meaning they basically want us to waste burning marks and buy more, then yeah, I could see them reworking it eventually. As it stands, it won’t happen until they move on to another new currency and add easier ways to get burning marks. Hopefully that’s in about 2 years, but given how long PvP seasons are, it could be longer.
Honestly, given that we may be getting at least 2 new immortal every season (maybe more, who knows?) and there’s limits to how many burning marks you can buy and/or earn, I don’t see why they were so stingy with the amount refunded, but I guess they worked it out and figured they’d make more money that way. Best thing is if most players work out that the refund system is bad and stop buying marks until it gets improved, so the devs have an incentive to improve it, but that could take just as long, I guess.
I agree 100%. The almighty dollar and not the players rules the roost. Another in a long line.
I’ll be more selective as to when I buy and use burning marks in the future.
Stop buying altogether. The only way greedy devs will possibly listen if we vote with our wallets
Don’t blame the devs, blame the bean counters
