Dud Pet Gnome drops no food, doesn't trigger rescue

What you were expecting to happen, and what actually happened:
Pet Gnome should drop pet food and trigger pet rescue. It did neither of those things.

How often does this happen? When did it begin happening?
First PvP battle after triggering a pet rescue + doing the rescue + not playing for an hour until the rescue is over

Steps to make it happen again
See above. Happened thrice this weekend when the above conditions were met, which is why I recorded the third instance upon noticing the pattern.

Nice catch! Same thing happened to me as well. No pet food and no pet rescue after waiting the hour.

Was it the first battle back in PvP in the same region as you were before you did the pet rescue?

Iā€™m wondering if we can avoid this by either changing the region or ignoring the pet gnome on the first battle back in PvP.
