Do we need Weekend support on the dev team? Let's take a poll!

Hi friends :waving_hand:
Having another fun filled weekend with a event full of bugs and where are the devs? Not here…
Let’s take a vote do they need a support person on standby to keep things going smooth over weekends or are we just a joke to them by supporting them with money and laughing in our faces?
Do we want weekend support personnel?

Fixed the poll choices

Jeto is the only way that we keep informed about anything, and she is probably overworked. And please keep in mind, that none of the bugs or problems are her fault.

I honestly think that this game has gotten way out of hand, and they can’t keep up with it. As long as we can keep playing gems to relax, I am alright with it. We can’t set unrealistic expectations. We have to take a deep breath and set our priorities straight.

Remember the same dev team also runs pq3… do they possibly have too much going on as that game is full of bugs too.

I’m not saying that jeto works the weekemds but possibly hire someone on standby.

Jeto mentioned in a post earlier that they do not have as many people on staff (like Kafka). We have to set more realistic expectations and be thankful for what we have. We are not the developers and should not make rash judgments. Nothing would be worse than having to shut the game down and no longer get updates.

Being realostic, less people staffed means mire profits for the people up top.

If they shut the servers down it might do us all a favor and break us from this curse which drives us to play daily.

If i wasn’t leader of Nemesis I’d probably be long gone by now.

My friends keep me here.

Thanks everyone who has participated in the poll so far.
Your feedback is appreciated and hopefully helps the dev team open their eyes.

No budget for that. The real solution is to stop releasing new content on Fridays, which has been repeatedly suggested and ignored.

Edit: well, not ignored. It’s just a decision they’re actively committing to for some reason.

I’m curious about something: What exactly would more “support staff” do to resolve these problems? Not that I’m against having more support staff, but I wonder what the expectations would be.

Because it seems to me that the problem is slipshod programming, stuff that uses the player base as its’ “alpha” testers rather than going through rigorous (or even semi-rigorous) QA processes before being “released into the wild”.

The whole process needs to be cleaned out and fixed, probably from scratch. Not just given a band-aid or two with the hope that nobody else will bleed out in the interim.

I closed this thread for now, as I understand the sentiment behind it. Creating a poll or thread to complain further about a lack of support, unfortunately, does not help me/us get more support or more devs (which would be more beneficial).

If anything, it creates a space for more complaints and less constructive discussions. Just want it to cool down a moment.

I totally understand, and it’s not like we haven’t wanted more support people generally, for the entirety of my tenure here.
Having a support member on the 505 side means there is an extra day I don’t cover for tickets, and there is someone around to check the forum.

We would love to have more devs on the team (which I think would be better than extra support team members), so there is some breathing room for the guys that do currently work on the game, work on these fixes and work on new content.

And just to clarify, the IP2 studio as a whole works on GOW and PQ3, but the team members, excluding maybe 2-3 of us, do not work on both games. It’s just two tiny crews under one roof.

At the moment, it’s not in our power to just be able to hire more people..
We literally just lost the rest of CX as well..
