i do think there should be more VIP levels. is not fair on those that keep spending. but if they do they should make the levels cheaper.
While I understand the sentiment, for me, this game isn’t about enjoying the battles themselves. Quite honestly, most battles are mind-numbingly boring in mid-late game. If I played GoW for the engaging combat, well… I’d have left ages ago.
The joy of GoW for me is the gradual progression. I like improving my stats, upgrading my kingdoms, and collecting troops. Battles, then, are a means to an end, and if I can work towards my goals more efficiently by having three Takshakas on a team, then that’s what I’ll do.
The upcoming Bastion system should theoretically make fighting teams like the ones you mentioned less annoying!
Yeah, no thanks. I would quit the game over this.
Thank you for stating my thoughts in more detail than “I would quit”
This is why I play, game, not the battles.
Also, the camaraderie in a guild.
Yes Yes! It’s actually quite brilliant that the mechanics of the game are so simple, basic and actually boring, while the overall-arc of progression provides so much satisfaction. Even when I stop to think, “Progression is only really good for being able to win more battles, and I already win (allowing for rng fails), why do I care about this?”… I can’t stop caring about this.
Why is this so true
I KNOW no one will agree with this, but when I have enough gems, I refresh a couple of times. If the teams are still too tough for me I just go to another kingdom (or whatever they’re called).
Usually, there’s a couple of places that start out with teams that have VERY low stats and it’s easy to beat them. And with victory talismans it’s an added pleasure.
Basically, I only fight pvp teams I have a huge advantage over. Duh! Why on earth would anyone look at a team and think, “Gee… they’re incredibly more powerful than me so they’re sure to be me… so let’s have a go!!”
