Delves: all about rooms and plans

Dripping Caverns ( Delves: all about rooms and plans - #40 by Nullings ) were updated on 28th September '21: two rooms on the south became firm treasures instead of Epic occasional treasures. It lowered average parameters for treasure multiplier and chest upgrade chance. (I doubt people were using this faction for everyday delves though.)

The Black Heart (Blackhawk)

Faction title: The Assassin’s Guild
Faction map name: Blackheart’s Guild
Start room: The Pommel
Finish room: Blackheart’s Lair
Faction info: Bile Blackheart leads a gang of renegade elves as assassins for hire.
Added: 29th October 2021

Faction weapon (Blackheart’s Horn): Blackheart's Horn - Weapons - Gems of War Database

A simple faction with only one path 5 rooms long (not user-friendly), may remind about Fang Moor. Maximum 4 treasure rooms, but you’ll see both Rare (II) rooms as treasures seldom.

Useful troops here are Bile Blackheart (Legendary generator like Gorgotha) and Deathblade (pair him with some Doomskull creators). The faction weapon can be used in one team with The Maraji Queen, for example.

A uniform faction: more Rogues for Blackhawk.

Umbral Nexus (Nexus)

Faction title: The Rift of Light and Darkness
Faction map name: The Umbral Disc
Start room: Umbral Hollow
Finish room: Portal Chamber
Faction info: Within the Umbral Tree lies the portal to the Planes of Light and Dark Energy.
Added: 3rd December 2021

Faction weapon (Umbral Tome): Umbral Tome - Weapons - Gems of War Database
Faction pet (Baaldog): https://gowdb.com/pets/13179

A faction with two paths only: either clockwise (long path through 5 easy rooms) or counterclockwise (short path through 2 hard rooms). Maximum 5 treasure rooms, but I saw really 4 at most. But you’ll see 3 treasure rooms often enough.

Useful troops from here: Umbral Portal (creates Umbral stars) which must work well with yellow/purple troops (Divinion Fields, Silverglade) and Darkborn Warlock (scatter damage boosted by Purple). The faction weapon is rather specific and can hardly be used without Umbral Portal. Maybe later we’ll see more troops creating Umbrla stars.

A uniform faction: more Elementals for the kingdom of Nexus.

The faction banner was changed in the last moment, and not all troops were updated accordingly. We may expect Void Wisp be changed to Green/Purple or Blue/Purple.

Fire Rift (Broken Spire)

Faction title: Portal to the Plane of Fire
Faction map name: The Disc of Flame
Start room: The Burning Disc
Finish room: Magma Dragon’s Eyrie
Faction info: Many fiery creatures have come through this elemental rift.
Added: 4th February 2022

Faction weapon (Charred Blade): Charred Blade - Weapons - Gems of War Database
Faction pet (Burney): https://gowdb.com/pets/13184

Three paths are available here, and one of them has just 1 room luckily. No occasional treasures here, just two treasure rooms in the south pass.

Useful troops are Fire Spirit (generator with bonuses) and Magma Dragon (AoE damage with Lavastorm conjuring). The faction weapon is a generator too, and it can find its uses in defense, for example.

Another uniform faction: Elementals added to an Elemental kingdom.

All-Seeing Eye - deep delve (Darkstone)

Added: 27th May 2022

I didn’t want to mix this scheme with the regular one. The main update here is that any room can be replaced with Gnome Treasure room (level VI room with TM 1.4 and chest upgrade chance 60%, where you can meet a gnome - any except Pet Gnome). All other parameters are the same as for the regular All-Seeing Eye delve ( Delves: all about rooms and plans - #23 by Nullings ).

The fifth troop has been added to this faction: Burning Ocularen. It can be summoned with faction weapons (Chalice of Eyes and Jar of Eyes), but not with Watch Mother.

Crypt Keepers - deep delve (Sword’s Edge)

Added: 1st July 2022

A very simple scheme without occasional treasures. Many rooms IV, but they are all plain. And any of these 7 inner rooms can be replaced with Gnome Treasure Room in a deep delve.

The fifth troop was added to this faction: Crypt Hound.

Obsidian Depths (Hellcrag)

Faction title: Guardians of the Black Crystal
Faction map name: The Obsidian Halls
Start room: Obsidian Gate
Finish room: Obsidian Throne
Faction info: Within dark stone halls, obsidian creatures guard a terrible secret.

Faction weapon (Obsidian Libram): Obsidian Depths Faction Weapon - Weapons - Gems of War Database

A faction with long pass: 3 rooms between start and finish. It can remind of its neighbor faction Duergaroth: just 2 rooms between start and finish, and room V guards 4 treasure rooms. Here we can see 3 treasure rooms guarded by room V as well.

And like in Duergaroth, there are no very useful troops here. Maybe Obsidiaxas can be used in specific battles. Faction weapon is rather good as a generator.

A uniform faction: more Constructs added to Hellcrag kingdom.

Hall of Guardians - deep scheme (Whitehelm)

Added: 26th August 2022

Only 2 treasure rooms here, and no occasional treasures (as far as I could explore). The most weird thing about this delve is that rooms IV are not connected, while you can reach both of them after beating room V. Maybe it’s a bug which will be fixed sometimes.

The fifth troop has been added to this faction: Guardian Pillar.

The regular delve in the Hall of Guardians: Delves: all about rooms and plans - #13 by Nullings .

But they are connected through the outer ring.
When you beat starting room you gain outer ring access to III rooms; beating middle room opens farside outer ring access to IV rooms.

The image might suggest IV & IV should be connected, but, at least on Steam, they are not.

A scheme with 3 treasure rooms, everything is definite here - no occasional treasures (as far as I could explore).

Primal Rift - deep scheme (Forest of Thorns)

Added: 18 November 2022

A scheme with several routes to the final point, choose the one you want. 2 treasure rooms hidden in the depths, all the rest are plain (as far as I managed to pass).

The fifth troop has been added to this faction: Dark Forest Troll (creates mix of Brown and Green gems).

The Warrens - deep scheme (Pan’s Vale)

Added: 30 December 2022

As in the regular delve, here we can see two long routes to the finish and a circle of 7 rooms. There are no occasional treasures, but 3 real treasure rooms. The dot before the F room means that you can get to the 2 final rooms (F and adjacent T) from both of outer T rooms (it just looks better than 4 crossing arrows).

The fifth troop has been added in The Warrens: Lapina Healer.

Court of Foxes (Vulpacea)

Faction title: Home of the Fox Spirits.
Faction Map Name: Court of Spirits
Start Room: The Fox Run
Finish Room: Foxfire Throne
Faction info: The Spirits are old, wise and cunning.
Added: 10th March 2023

Faction weapon: Court Scepter (14 Green/Red)
Faction Pet: Firefloof (Purple)

(No links to the GoWDB due to its out-of-date state.)

A simple scheme with only 1 passage to the final room. Two sideways have some treasures, but we saw more rich factions (if those foxes are cunning, where is their money?.. Maybe in the deep delve).

This delve has more “selective spell” troops in addition to the main kingdom, Vulpacea. Shadow Fox is possibly the most useful of them: it can convert Yellow gems either to Spirit (blue) gems or to skulls. And the Foxfire King is somewhat weak for a Legendary troop - Queen Beetrix or King Gobtruffle are more useful.

A uniform faction: more Wargare - Wargare/Fey to be exact - added to Vulpacea kingdom.

Dark Pits - deep scheme (Mist of Scales)

Added: 7 April 2023

One of the worst schemes among delves. Can remind you of the regular Warrens map. There are 2 paths to the finish, both are 5 rooms long. Really, the regular Dark Pits scheme is better (with only 1 room between start and finish).

The fifth troop has been added to Dark Pits: Rattigar Cutpurse.

Silver Necropolis - deep scheme (Silverglade)

Added: 19 May 2023

This scheme may remind you of the City of Thieves (regular), just with one additional pass. It’s less rich than CoT though - only 2 treasure rooms here.

The fifth troop has been added to Silver Necropolis: Negasus (and Vanya Soulmourn summons it along with other SN troops).

Sunken Fleet - deep scheme (Bright Forest)

Added: 30 June 2023

Not a very interesting scheme - unlike “shallow scheme” of this faction. Just 2 treasure rooms and 5 plain ones. Looks like boosted “Emperinazar” really. And what is more interesting: this scheme is less “rich” than the regular Sunken Fleet, i.e. it gives not so many points. Even with choosing an optimal way (optimal for collecting points).

The fifth troop has been added to Sunken Fleet: Drowned Captain. It was expected to be another Elemental, but no - it’s simply an Undead.

BTW, this old detail:

…was fixed semi-recently (which of course did not go unnoticed).

It might be the first time where the Deep Delve can be slightly easier than the original layout for pure faction. Original layout can drag the player through some annoying Legendary fights based on theme.
