Deed overflow

Is there any way you could provide a feature to trade deeds for different colors? Over the years, I’ve bought every purple deed available from merchants and events, since Magic is the most important skill.

I’ve now upgraded all purple kingdoms to max level. The problem is, purple deeds are now overflowing compared to the other colors. It’s quite a pity, since deeds are the rarest and most valuable resource in the game. It feels like a waste when a purple Deed Book drops from the PvP shop draw, but there’s no other way to get Books of Deeds.

  1. Is there any way to trade books of deed? Like add a recipe in the Soulforge that allows players to change the color of a book by spending extra resources — such as Gold Marks, Gems, Writs, or other deeds.
  2. Or maybe introduce a new targeted color book option in the PvP shop with more cost.

This problem could be solved quite easily by buying any color deed books of our choosing in the pvp shop instead of random ones. Enough of this ridiculous rng and let us feel like we are rewarded for forcing us to play pvp.

This isn’t hard. Just play your own game for five minutes and you would understand.

They understand perfectly well. You need 1 of 6 items, by selling them at random you’ll grudingly purchase 6 times as much on average as you would have otherwise. It’s incidentally why gem dragons will also never receive a cap that removes them from the pool. The excess ones are entirely useless for you, they can’t be traded away, so the more you happen to obtain, the higher their profit.

I think we are all just…tired of the nonsensical way that we have to make progress. It’s all just too complicated, and that’s why so many players left already. I honestly don’t know why I’m still here.

There’s a cool idea that I have for the upcoming spring mythic, Azaleas, but its hard holding onto little pieces of hope when there’s so much disappointment or confusion.

Complicated I’d actually appreciate. To me, it feels all geared towards providing the most frustrating experience possible, over and over again.

Take the new flower dragons, 11 pulls, one hell of a duplicate streak, still 3 dragons missing. Took a year to collect that dragonite. I’ll get another attempt about once a month, provided Dungeon lets me get enough pure runs. I haven’t seen one for weeks now, playing each day. I wonder when they’ll add yet another layer of frustration on top, by replacing the 3 types of dragon eggs with a dragon egg egg that turns into a random dragon egg when you craft it.

That kind of makes some sense. But Dragonite isn’t really comparable to Deeds. You can only get Dragonite from eggs, which makes it very random, while there are many ways to get Deeds, making them less RNG-based. Plus, you only need one dragon each color, but a single kingdom needs 30 books. If I keep pulling random color books, I’ll likely end up with over a hundred redundant ones.
But this does remind me of the new Dragonite recipe that lets you target a specific dragon. If there were a targeted color book option in the PvP shop, I’d be more than willing to buy it—even if it costs more.

I get where you’re coming from, but this issue has been completely brought about by your choice to focus on purple deeds/books and to disregard the other five colours. Your strategy makes sense, and many have done it, because you were trying to get the magic kingdoms to Power Level 30 as quickly as possible.

This was completely foreseeable, and a side effect of chasing magic kingdoms as a priority. You continue to benefit with higher magic while others who didn’t make this choice have levelled up their kingdoms more evenly and may still be working on maxxing magic kingdoms.

In time, deeds and books will all become another resource, of the dozens in this game, to pile up and be useless, albeit on a much much slower burn than the rest.

These is of course always the chance they could increase Power Level or introduce new kingdoms in future and your stash will come in very handy.

Yes, you are right. But I started this strategy way before the PvP shop came out. The new shop does indeed accelerate the progress significantly, but I never expected it to draw random colors.

With my old strategy, I could simply choose not to buy the overflowed color deed. But with the random shop, I have to accept the redundant draws. It’s a far more efficient approach to obtain the books, but it’s really frustrating when half of the weekly draws are redundant if I get unlucky.

I think having targeted colored books in the PvP shop makes sense. Analogously, the Dragonite egg allows for a targeted color, and Burning Chests have featured immortals to draw. This kind of determined-result draw, which trades off randomness for a higher cost, is necessary. It would also benefit all players, not just those dealing with overflow.

Yeah, that’s fair. The game seems to have leaped headfirst into the concept of having RNG everywhere, rather than giving us choices we make ourselves. It’s annoying as hell, and I wish they’d dial it back, and let us have more control over what we want, instead.
Fingers crossed they do add targeted colour book crafting, but then, as has been said, there’s a chance those “redundant” books will become useful later, so I wouldn’t worry too much. It’s just slowing you down for the time being.
