Death knight talent vs. undead

What you were expecting to happen, and what actually happened:
I killed an enemy death knight with the talent that gives Death marks upon death. All my troops were immune to Death marks.
Two of my troops (Banshee and Necro Hero) got Death Marked anyway.

How often does this happen? When did it begin happening?
Happened a few minutes ago, would test if it’s constant, but I don’t play that much.

Steps to make it happen again
*Play against Death Knight with Warded/Impervious troops.
*Kill Death Knight
*???
*Profit

I’m betting your troops were stunned.

What weapon and troops did they have? That is the important part.
And as @Drathas said, your troops that only have warded (not immune to stun like impervious) were probably stunned and were not immune to deathmark at that moment.

No, they weren’t stunned. I don’t remember the exact troop composition, but apart from the Death Knight, the other troops weren’t mythic or 3-traited, even. Stun wasn’t there. I notice that, because the traits I have are important to my (admittedly mediocre) strat.

Do you remember what other Troops were on your team?

Necro with first two talents, Grave knight, Banshee, Wraith; all three with 3 traits, max level mythic.
