no he always been -1 on x4 and more gems, i know another troop , i think it’s famine who does -3 on x4 gems so maybe both together would be a good team
edit : it’s not famine but i remember another troops doing this , famine third trait remove -2 skills points on every turn to first troops, it’s also nice

Valkyrie is only there for soul farm, if you don’t need souls replace with Sheggra or Jarl and use IK.
Both very very efficient honestly, i would say a 98% and usually very quickly.
