This version needs a Legendary (FG) but it’s fast and leaves an open spot for either « troop of the week » bonus or hero for class XP:
Forest Guardian
Firebird
Spirit Fox
Open Spot
First turn cast Fox (and kill someone)
Cascade should fill the bird or guardian for second action kill.
For kicks, put Bloodhammer in the open spot for first turn wins. (Or hero class that can start with a Doomstorm)

As of Dec 2024 i want to share a few that will help you get at least to rowanne and level 70 for the underworld.
Worst part is using default troops until you can unlock chests and level 2 kindgom upgrade for fire lizard.
In the meantime stick with weapon kitsue gobblin bomber preistess. Beat all kingdom quests for broken spire for luther.
Use gold, glory, guild seals to try to get skeleton.
Then make weapon, gobblin bomber luther skeleton. This will destroy things fast. Next team to try and build is with spark grinder. Beat adana quests to get him.
Then make weapon spark grinder luther skeleton. Buff hero with everything.
Next team to make is with fire lizard, level 2 kingdom upgrade 200 gold. Throw him in the team with weapon, fire lizard gobblin bomber, luther.
Cast lizard for fire gems and bomber to try to explode ones you cant match. These gems burn all enemies making things easy.
Eventually unlock mech after all 3 kingdom quests roughly… equip mech
Then golden cog red 8 yellow mana 8 level. Make this team as dumb as it looks it makes hero have up to 1000 armor.
Cog mech, soark grinder, luther skeleton. Get cog and spark spell up… cast spark on hero then cog on hero and luther for barrier and more attack. Repeat desired attack and armor and then use skeleton to make skulls and raid death.
Another fun team will be mountain crusher elwyn paladin x2 with yellow link trait and whithelm 2yellow banner. Match 3 yellows and elwyn spell ready to cast on yellow, demon gems, doomskulls. Kill everything with this… use bard class with 3rd trait to make it even more lethal.
Some tips i came up with… also world quest war bands dont do it untill you get the cog sparkgrinder team roughly level 40-70. If you want to press your luck try using penitent on cornet and the general. Death mark kicks in then its easy… if not restart battle until it works. Level 70-100 it should be a cakewalk to beat.
