When most people are looking for a troop that just so happens to have “the” in the name eg. The wild king people will generally want to go to the w’s when searching a-z unaware or aware of him being in the t’s because of him being “the” wild king when most people just say wild king

Technically, this should be an easy fix: every troop gets 2 names internally, first being its “display name” and second being its “sort key”, with sorting troops alphabetically using the latter. The only difference being that the sortkey strips out the “The” from the display name.
(Also note this means another set of strings to be localized for each target language.)
Boy oh boy, is this ever an old issue. I remember watching Tacet videos years ago and him complaining about not being able to find troops which start with “The”.
……which probably means it will never be corrected

Yeah for sure, thanks for mentioning it again.
It may not be as trivial a change as it seems, just to warn you, because of localisation reasons and how the sorting is coded, so we’ll see how it goes. It may be quick and can be slotted in easily somewhere, I’m just speculating and want to set expectations.
On a personal note: I am curious how many complaints we’ll get if it’s changed, but I tend to agree with you on this one, especially because I can’t even necessarily remember all the Troops with “The” in front of their names myself so end up looking in the wrong spot sometimes.
