I’m seeing a problem there, each day only has 24 hours, it feels like Jeto is already dedicating most of them for things that somehow should be her job. Unless we can find someone with good cloning skills it’s unlikely to scale.
Personal take, I’d really bump this over to the design team and ask them to go another round, ASAP, with the cleaning alcohol safely locked away. There is no need to have some convoluted master plan regarding which battles contribute towards progress, it’s a Match-3 game, not the International Math Olympiad. Just make it “all battles (except training battles)”, like everyone is used to. If this somehow allows a few players to complete their weekly chores a few minutes faster, congratulations, that’s a significant step towards listening to player feedback given repeatedly for well over a year.
Unfortunately, the devs have a very long track record of not making any changes at all once something has gone live (or even into beta). As an engineer, I simply cannot understand this, but as an observer, it’s clearly a part of their reality.
I very much feel for Jeto at the extra pressure this puts on her.
(And when I said, “your job,” I definitely meant “Infinity+2’s job” rather than Jeto’s!).
Totally agree. The fact that so much information requires outside sources to know how to do stuff in the game, and worse, that you can’t see those outside sources via the game (I’m on console and we can’t access the forum any more, except using other devices), is so frustrating.
As someone who pays attention to the forum, and provides that info to my guild, I nearly missed it too. The latest patch notes were posted as AN EDIT TO A POST, which had already said the patch notes weren’t available and would be shared later. I don’t think anyone was expecting them to be edited in. They should have had a new post, or been added as a fresh comment on the post (as well as editing in to the original post if desired).
And I went out of my way to read the new helpdesk page, which wasn’t great, but meant I had some knowledge about the new campaign to help figure stuff out.
Pretty sure trials don’t give stars, if that’s helpful.
Totally agree here, too. Crazy that we’ve been asking for stuff to be easier, and they keep adding more complications and confusion.
Just as an example of how much the game sucks at giving information we need, the last patch before this one added a new trophy/achievement, for completing 2 campaign tasks. This was during an active campaign, where people read the description and fulfilled it, but nothing happened. They quite rightly complained that this was bugged, and the reply was that that trophy/achievement was not valid yet and would apply to future campaigns, which was not information previously available, and was not told to anyone in the game, so many players will just assume it was bugged and not doable, and they still haven’t been told otherwise.
Why was that trophy/achievement added during a previous campaign, and not during the patch that changed campaigns, making it valid? Dunno. Might be some technical thing, behind the scenes, but as a player, not getting told anything, that sucks. It comes across as incompetence, because we have no information to show us otherwise.
And the fact that most players don’t get this information, and just stumble along wondering why the game is full of incompetence, because the game won’t tell them anything they need, really damages their experience. It makes no sense.
Whoever’s in charge of your design direction…tell them that switching perfectly fine campaign pass design to a stupid PvP style design is not a bright idea. It was so easy to understand and follow before - everybody get stuff at the same points of progression, only paid pass users receive two items instead of just one for free pass users. Easy to see, easy to grasp, easy to follow, easy to understand. Now? Stupid nonsense.
Also, why do different battles count towards campaign pass than towards campaign tasks? Why aren’t said confusing and unnecessary convoluted requirements explained CLEARLY ingame, if you insist on having them?
It should simply be all battles (except training) for both pass and tasks and be done with it! Simple, concise, understandable.
Oh, while you’re at it, do you remember the reward screen redesign nobody asked you to do but you did anyway under the pretext of making things easier and more convenient for the players? May I ask why aren’t you utilizing said redesign, then?
This was a perfect opportunity to put stars up there and you missed it. Congratulations!
Come to think of if, have you even touched that broken design (clearly implemented by somebody who doesn’t play the game) at all after dropping it on our heads? It seems to be still as hardly functional as it was the moment is got revealed to the world.
P.S. When, exactly, will we be mailed deeds/books we missed because of your bugged tasks? I’m waiting for 6 deeds of fire you owe me (not even mentioning compensation because those bugs must’ve somehow been our fault, no doubt, therefore no compensation necessary).
While I’m not totally up in arms about stars not being available everywhere since we have 10 weeks to get them, I don’t like/appreciate the arbitrary Explore 4+ cutoff.
Not only does that inconvenience newer players who could probably use the Campaign pass rewards more (and therefore might be more likely to buy it), there’s no explanation how Explore 4+ was decided as a proper cutoff spot.
A lot of people also play Explore 1 for Vault Events and it’s not cool that despite spending a lot of time playing the game, none of those efforts count for the Campaign. Like are these Campaign rewards (which used to be doable on Explore 1) now suddenly way better that it has to be done of Explore 4+?
