I wonder how well that will work out, considering the summoning bug that locks up the game.

They’re kinda goofy. Enemy troops spawned from Daemonic Portal Gems in Explore 12 came in at Level 1.

They also weren’t that rare in my opinion so this could be … something… in pvp.

(hopefully they don’t cause crashes for others)

Gems that summon. What could go wrong? smdh

I mean, it could be fine. But holy pile of wow… adding more summoning mechanics, in the current state of the game, seems a little nuts. lol

They do, unfortunately.

Just had a battle that had 1 surviving Leprechaun because it was submerged.
It fired off it’s spell and destroyed 2 portal gems, 2 Daemons appeared and the Leprechaun gained about 100 HP/Armor.

Looks like daemons summoned with portal gems are level 1. Probably a good thing, since player troops get kingdom and renown bonuses while enemies outside of PvP do not. So Journey won’t have level 600 troops summoning in.

The campaign release has the wrong title card for the campaign pet. It has last campaign’s pet shown.

Can someone tell me how to get the portal gems to count for the steam achievement? I destroyed quite a few today and I’m still at 0/100.

You have to do all 100 in one explosion??
Kidding, but hoping they haven’t messed something up for you. I suggest using multiple Pharoah Khafru and not attacking, in an easy battle, like low explore. You can farm quite a few summon gems before you wear down the enemy troops. Seems the best way to try and rush it. I haven’t reached 100 yet, but it’s not at 0% of players completed on PS5, so I know it’s doable here. Fingers crossed it works on all platforms.

It’s not tracking visually in Steam, but they are counting. I unlocked my Achievement a little earlier despite it showing as 0/100 the whole way.

None of these kingdoms include the component Weapons for either Duskbringer or The Ruby Macaque.

I gotta say that these daemonic portal gems are bringing back the nightmares of lycanthropy gems.

In pvp yesterday, there was a whole board of yellow gems because of Essencia’s light storm. I defeated their Diamantina, only to have their hero summon in an Enraged Kurandara. He got filled up and obliterated my whole team with doom skulls.:skull:

These gems are terrible and GREATLY favor the enemy team. It doesn’t happen often, but when it dies, it feels like the battle is rigged against you. We should just leave the summoned daemons at level 1 tbh. I don’t even want to think about Journey with the bug fixed so that level 300+ enemies get summoned in…Dear Lord…

Had almost this exaxt same scenario yesterday. Enemy team only had a leprechaun left, he got off his skill and summoned three demons, one of which was E. Kurandara who got filled up fast and wrecked my whole team. Meanwhile whenever I’ve summoned from them it’s some useless demon I forgot was even in the game. These gems were a terrible idea and we would be better off without them.

Waiting for the first player to get autobanned because so many spawns happened in battles it trips some “XP threshold”

I did get up to about 40 portal gems, but doom skulls kept falling down and messing it up. 10 weeks of this daemon garbage could not go by fast enough…

New feature request–give us the option to eliminate campaign themed gems.

They are probably conjuring up some “divine” portal gems next. Sorry, but no thanks. I’ve seen enough instances of matches in pvp (about 2 in 100) where it feels like the game is rigged against you. I know it’s a small sample size, but it was enough for me to realize that bad things can and will happen with daemonic portal gems.

Portal Gems triggering the summon buff bug in PVP is a PVP problem. The summoned Daemon being (otherwise) Lv.1 is an annoyance at most (say, when trying to take out Stealthy opponents).
