So Mother Malice basically replaces Euryali in Euryali/Scorpius.. but how many people actually still uses that?

Not really as you only need a single 4x with Eury and some other prep work with any of the upcoming troops in this campaign.

One could say, you need to generate a lot mana anyways so it isn’t as bad. But even Wyvern works with Scorpius.

Ive had plenty of times where I couldn’t get a 4x to trigger Eury to save my life, but exploding a Leprechaun to hit a Poison Gem to poison all 4 enemies would be way easier.

Mother Malice went through some changes during the final weeks of the last campaign–her Jinx trait was changed to impervious and her triple damage to poisoned enemies was changed to double damage to poisoned enemies with a weak damage boost ratio of malice gems on the board [1:1] and [1:3] once shiny level 2.

Impervious makes her better defensively with spell block, but the developers don’t seem to understand that damage boost ratios based off gems don’t do anything in the late game. They need to honestly quadruple their damage effect or something…else. Yeah, Lapina Explorer is pretty ridiculous in arena, but that Hare falls off pretty quick once he gets out of the woods…

Is this the worst campaign mythic since sparkinator. Or what.

Is it bugged, is it missing stuff

Low damage

No extra turn potential

Basic traits.

Damn awful.

On the other hand. Green hag. Damn awesome troop lol. Self filling. Goes forever. Plus fills up other greens. Great spell.

Yeah triple damage was definitely interesting, but this double damage version is boring. Functional, but boring. I guess it works well this Green Hag?

I’d still take Mother Malice over Decaying Queen, Amatiel, or Astaroth.

I like decaying queen.

But you may be right over the other 2. Astaroth i can confirm ive never used. And amatiel. Very rarely.

Ps. Green hag is so good. You can kill all 4 with her anyway. So the mythic isnt needed.

Green dragon gets extra turns now more often

Nebuldryx or whatever. Green from darkstone.

I don’t know why they changed the damage from triple to double damage to poisoned enemies on Mother Malice. She most likely has to hit an enemy 3 times to finish it off in places like blood frenzy areas in PvP. Plus, there’s the condition that the enemies have to be poisoned, if they have spell reduction, etc.

Take the gloves off and let people actually have some fun with Mother Malice. Or do you want us to just use Dragons and pretend like nothing else matters?

And here we go again.

This is the 4th campaign when I write the same thing - @devs why Campaign pet is Cosmetic? Why it can’t be related to Campaign Mythic troop???

Is it some sort of fetish to those cosmetic pets? Dozens and dozens useless ones.

And put back the triple damage to Mother Malice!!!

Great artwork, good stats, potential usage… but damage - it is like to fart against the wind.

Its probably closer to 4 or 5 times.

If enemy cant be poisoned.

3 times damage, would of been fun, not OP and not game breaking.
Shame there making this into, dragons of war.

If im not mistaken.

This will be 6th mythic in Darkstone.

And no reason to not pick the dragon, not even a second to think about it.

I love the premice of poison troops. I use plague for fun, i think poison, should be a stronger mechanic, theres poisons that can kill you by touch.

Poison, should be same as deathmark, as both can instant kill. If not stronger as death mark is witchcraft but poison is real.

The developers need to save Mother Malice, plain and simple. She is even worse than Queen Wilhelmina, I think because she is just going to tickle enemies. There is going to be absolutely no reason to use Mother Malice instead of Nebuladryx (even in Darkstone restrictions). And if the enemy is submerged, who cares, use essence of evil and make use of the green hag we got today.

Maybe if Mother Malice had a 50% chance to instant kill poisoned enemies? That could have some potential I guess, but it’s probably something they can’t change easily. Please give Mother Malice back her triple damage to poisoned enemies because she would only be doing about 150 damage per hit under that condition anyway. Doing only about 100 damage per hit with a weak boost ratio is WAY too low. Or give her a somewhat decent boost ratio of [1:10], so we could try to ramp her damage up with green hag, the campaign weapon, and other stuff. Don’t let the troop, spell art, and witch fantasy go to waste.

Agree with everything.

Excepttttt queen willie is awesome with harker.

As good as morthani.

But everything else you said, i definately agree. 3 times would help.

I did a comparison for a bunch of mythic troops with similar effects (to each other) here: A New Mythic Approaches – Okra’Nos the Sleeper - Official News - Gems of War | Forums
The net result was that mythics that do damage and summon a troop (thus doing less damage as a result) dealt between 62 and 292 damage per cast, with 50 magic.
Just doing the math on Mother Malice, her spell is “Deal [Magic + 4] damage to 4 random Enemies, boosted by Poison Gems. If the Enemy is Poisoned, deal double damage. [1:1]” which at 50 magic would mean 54x4=216 damage with no poison gems, doubled if all enemies are poisoned. So, between 216 and 432 damage, plus maybe 20 max extra damage from gems.
I’d say it was OK, based on that comparison, but then that’s compared to mythics that do two things. When I compare it to mythics that only do damage, that’s probably gonna be much lower. Not the lowest damage ever, but nowhere near the best.
It could definitely have stayed doing triple damage and been a really good mythic in it’s niche.

Yeah. Lord Harker is awesome. And the life steal and bleeding is pretty useful because Darkstone restrictions can’t take advantage of the “lethal” uses of poison outside a Darkstone restriction. Lord Harker is a lot like the Green Hag we got today. There is more use for the glory troops than the campaign mythics. Go figure.

Hell, I would even use Mother of Darkness over Mother Malice because she has nice synergy with Thrall and other troops from Darkstone. We don’t need to wait 10 weeks to see how bad this campaign’s mythic is going to be. She only has double damage to poisoned enemies and a very weak damage boost ratio. Fix it.

Aaaanyway, looks like this Campaign will be traveling to:

  1. Darkstone (this week)
  2. Grosh-Nak
  3. Stormheim
  4. Whitehelm
  5. Nexus
  6. Vulpacea
  7. Urskaya
  8. Broken Spire (Ruby Macaque component: Lodestar)
  9. Merlantis
  10. Sin of Maraj

I believe this is our first trip to Merlantis since the end of that particular campaign. So for the F2P players such as myself, that should be the first opportunity to craft that campaign’s weapon by way of the Soulforge.
