I just thought I would start a post to see what everyone gets from the Buccaneer’s Offers.
Laughable since this exists (and I’m not buying that, either)
Why would I pay more money for a lower value (on something that already has a low value because of silver marks)?
Weekly limited
And unlimited from bounty
Kind of unlimited, as it’s supposedly rare and you don’t even know which offer you’ll get. So you might get 0 burning marks offers from buccaneer per week.
But they’re both garbage anyway.
Because going by your screenshot you only have 9 minutes and 8 seconds left to buy it. Hurry up, or this special limited offer will be gone forever!
Ahhh, makes sense. Totally.
But it’s a lot shinier than the bronze ones! Twice the flashiness in the picture is easily worth receiving only half as much, right?
These offers are grotesque. Paid content in gow has always been… lackluster, but the buccaneer takes the cake.
Definitely not getting any of these.
Yours truly, a fairly speechless VIP 19.
I don’t understand Buccaneer’s Bounty. The point of putting a short timer is to force someone to commit on the spot, something people can be very hesitant to do.
But if the going rate of the offer is the exact exchange rate as a different product that’s not on a short timer, then… there’s no reason to jump on the offer. There’s no FOMO and I thought these Free to Plays are all about that. shrug
Actually, those different products aren’t only not on a timer, they even offer better exchange rates. All of them. I find it extremely difficult to not come to the conclusion this new feature is intentionally trying to take advantage of younger players, who may not yet have learned that “SPECTACULAR OFFER, 5 MINUTES ONLY, HESITATE AND IT’S GONE” means you are getting scammed. If this were just an unfortunate configuration error, surely someone from the Customer Experience Team would have stepped in by now, right?
if it’s really a hot discount, the price should be 5-10 times less
No buccaneer bounty should be over $1.99 imo.
Could it be possible that the devs do understand that these offers will see very little traction but they are simply following the instructions / guidance of the publisher (but doing so in a way that will not create a P2W game)?
