Let’s update ordinary burning chest drops with some more data. Some positions look intriguing, if I do say so myself.
To celebrate 1000 days of dungeons (well, 1004, if we want to nitpick, because I forgot to write down a few)…
(In the end, I was too lazy to do anything interesting and simply went 123456 the whole time - 126 perfect runs.)
The setup is very simple:
- cast Piscea if there are 2 or 3 or 4 enemy troops
- all enemy troops are susceptible to devour (no impervious or barrier or whatnot else that prevents eating).
If my rudimentary understanding of probabilities is on the right track, one would expect to see
49% of -/-
21% of +/-
21% of -/+
9% of +/+
A sample set of a thousand entries, of course, is not ideal but should be somewhat enough to start noticing trends; and the trend I notice is that it would be helpful if one stopped sitting on one’s lazy nether region, rolled up one’s sleeves and put in some effort before starting one’s rant based only on one’s biased feeling.
Update on burning chests - I’m okay with still receiving above average gold marks but would like to get a little more souls and a little fewer icons.
Oh, that wonderful moaning, pouting and whining that evil dragons’ resurrection rate will be 90% for computer (just like any other resurrect trait in the game - Infernal King, Ancient Horror, you name it)…

Ideally, I guess, you would want to have each dragon separately I did them all combined as I suspect that code part that handles actual resurrection percentages is the same for them all, it’s just resurrected troop ID that changes.
If I should make a guess - results look quite in line with the promised 15% revival chance (which has been the case for every resurrection issue I’ve cared enough to count) and those ninety-percent-ooh-aah-eeh-flerfs are wrong as usual and perpetuating falsehoods as per their custom. Mumbling nonsense and thusly proving for certain what otherwise might be only suspected must be way more satisfying than putting in any amount of actual effort.
You always put in good work, Dust_Angel. I gathered some data on extra turn chances for Wand of Stars, Stellarix, and Chrysantherax to find out for myself when all of those META options would miss in the least and most ideal situations in a controlled environment.
% chances to summon, kill, revive, etc. all have correct values, it’s just that we are going to remember that 1 time out of 10 when a Vizinium revives and ruins our day…
Mentally bookmarking this for the next time the complaints of “I SWEAR the devs ninja-patched the rates to be worse for me” inevitability rolls in
