I was vs a bone dragon with the freeze upon taking damage trait. None of my troops were frozen and I match 4 skulls and hit him.
I lost my turn for that. Why?!
I matched the skulls BEFORE I was frozen.
This is intended. The whole premise of it is to make sure Bone Dragon can skull spam without giving the enemy any of it.
Something I’ve noticed is that even if your first troop has 0 attack and does 0 damage on skull match, you’re frozen anyway. Not sure if others such as Sheggra do this as well?
I wouldn’t care if 0-dmg on-hit procs worked offensively as well ( i.e. Psion’s “Siphon”) but they don’t! Id love to see a change either way for the sake of consistency.
