Not sure how i did this, but my avatar is part of my troop now. Shows up as Runic sword. Hoe did i do this???
By equipping a weapon, your hero can also be a part of your team. You must have gone to the weapons part of your collection and equipped the Runic Blade.

With your hero on the team you can equip a class and level it up for more skills and abilities
