To manny already, and useless.
So on average from getting my cities leveled up, I earn between 25 and 35 games an hour. I collect roughly 8 hours a day if I go into the office. On days I work from home I easily get 15 hours.
Before the immortals I was only getting between 8 and 18 and hour. Collecting Mythics to level my cities was taking forever. Between weapons, chars, elite levels etc it was painful being stuck because I didn’t have yhe needed Mythics. Would have taken years… which in turn would have made me quit. Trying to compete with people that have been playing 5 to 10 years when there was much less to do is crazy. That causes player attrition.
So introducing Immortals makes sense. If you made established Mythics much easier to get for newer players than what established players went through that causes animosity.
So the 3rd option is to make something easier for the entire player base to get. Keep the leveling of them even with your playing time (unlike dragons) so everyone has the same chance to level up. Allowing newer players to level up and not forever keep everything out of reach.
40+ years and this is one of the fairest mechanics I’ve seen introduced in any game.
Is your wallet empty yet? ![]()
The only issue I see with the Immortals is that oftentimes I’m pet/weapon blocked and those two things are locked behind the immortal. The rest don’t usually matter. But I’m also at the point where I get max gems per hour anyway
They are getting really hard to upgrade. Even the epic burning chest doesn’t help that much.
We need a way to target a favorite immortal or something.
They need to redesign Epic Burning chests so that we can directly target Immortals that we want to upgrade. I honestly think they are just waiting for all the PvP seasons to be over to make burning marks more useful. What do we have? About 1 year left?
Easy solution. Yet, Impossible for them to understand.![]()
I’m pretty sure these PvP seasons are never going to end..
I think you are right. PvP seasons will keep going and going until we have more Immortals than Mythics in every kingdom.![]()
But given that gold marks do not have nearly as much value as they once had, will players still play PvP for Shiny keys, the Seasonal Mythic, or other things? The seasonal Mythic looks decent (since I cannot reliably level up Immortal Caprichor), but after I fully trait it, I do not see the point of doing thousands and thousands of battles. I think it was a huge mistake to not offer Crystals in the PvP shop, but time will tell.
I just find it annoying that in a lot of my kingdoms, I’m missing a max weapon, a max pet, or a level 20 troop… and it’s an immortal. Like a max Immortal anything that isn’t seasonal is never going to happen (for me) currently and its obfuscates things I might actually be forgetting to do.
And given the rarity of Crystals…Immortals enforce more pay-to-win because there is no way to make any kingdom progress because Daily Deals are not designed to help us with things like that. For me, the collection of unowned troops, weapons, and pets will just keep growing because I understand that burning marks are just a money pit along with crystals.
I am currently stuck in Hellcrag because there is no way for me to get Immortal Terra leveled up. And once we get more troops and weapons, the cycle is just going to bring me back right where I started.
In the current system, we will never be able to catch up on burning marks, shiny keys, stardust, and crystals. It will just keep going and going to keep financing this game. We used to be able to make reasonable progress without so much money involved, but now? I just try to ignore all those offers and make little steps here and there.
If rainbow crystals aren’t added to pvp shop I will not be buying the pass. Don’t want the dragonite or 2500 for a troop that lets be honest is probably crap.
There technically are “targetted” chests, but them costing 250% of the original cost is absurd.
I think we all understand that concept, but when 41% of burning marks go to the seasonal Immortal, 18% go to PvP icons, and then 41% of those burning marks go to the actual Immortal(s) you want, it is just too much RNG. Especially for how scarce burning marks are in the first place (if you do not pay for them).
They need to remove PvP icons from both Normal and Epic burning chests. Period. We can always get VP if we want to, and they did that deliberately to make it harder to upgrade Immortals. Then, an Epic burning chest would have a 50% chance for the Seasonal Immortal and a 50% chance for 1/3 Immortal(s) you would like to upgrade.
That’s not asking for the world because it can be complicated to revamp burning chests. But that would be a little baby step forward that would make upgrading Immortals a little bit easier.
I bought the PVP pass last time. And… I did not even pull the secondary immortal, never mind got souls for it. That is now the second time I’ve not pulled the secondary immortal.
I don’t think that is right, regardless of chest odds and the litany of chaffe obtained. Perhaps Devs should review that. I know it can go into burning chests in future, but that’s not the point. Something isn’t right if you don’t even pull it. Imho.
Incidentally, we had the customer survey indicate that players had issues with PVP, but yet we seem to have had no feedback on that even now.
It would be awesome if a month or two after surveys like this, there was a follow-up post going over what the team plans to do based on feedback (even if there’s no specific plans for much of it at the time). Being able to see “we plan to address this soon,” “maybe in a future update,” and “no plans to change right now” would be really beneficial for the community feeling heard.
I love that the survey happened at all, and think it could be expanded on to be even better ![]()
This new season seems really horrible.
I counted, out of 33 burning chests only 12 had immortal souls in it!
The rest were silver-, gold marks and 1 or 2 icons: all useless!
Immortal Byblios was in none of the chests!
Are there too many immortals? Maybe so, but the bigger issue is this insane drop rate of useless silver and gold marks!
And the survey was nice, but it was all over the place in all the options it gave, so very hard to convert that into what players actually want.
I’d welcome a new survey, but I hope it will be set up better and that something really gets done with the outcome.
Yes, there are too many Immortals already. I finally pulled souls for the spider-looking guy on Monday after all the time it has been available. I don’t have Immortal Byblios, yet, but I haven’t opened much so far this season.
Something I was wondering, as perhaps part of a partial solution…
… would people be okay with the cost of a Burning Chest increasing and/or the availability of Burning Marks decreasing if all the dreck (Marks and Icons) were removed from those chests? That is, you’d be guaranteed to pull Immortal Souls from every chest, but you might have to spend 20-30 Burning Marks per chest? Or that tasks/purchases that award you Burning Marks would give you significantly fewer, therefore obliging you to spend/play more to get the same amount?
and I was hoping someone else would answer before I do so I’d just stay quiet on the thing.
the answer is no.
That assumption of lowering Burning Marks gained would only be a yes if the system was properly balanced in the first place where there would be a surplus of souls after the change and its not the case.
If implemented, do I think this system will get better after 3 months? no
If implemented, do I think the system will get better after 6 months? no
If implemented, do I think the system will get better after 1 year? absolutely no
the flood of extra Immortals will quickly overtake any Burning Mark ratio from removing the chaff.
So for the few people that benefit from owning any mythic, congrats. For everyone else that actually want to use Immortals, good luck.
But I have very little hope that the system will get better, so I’m settling on everyone else’s desires of wanting icons and marks out of the current system.
We currently have 29 Immortals. 5 seasons from now, 39 Immortals. future, how many more? Hitting on a specific Immortal is a pain. Even the Epic Burning Chests designed to help with targetting has its own significant problems. I’m loving these Burning Mark refunds from the Epic Burning Chests. (sarcasm).
I really like getting icons and silver/gold marks from chests.. But I also agree there needs to be a better way to earn burning marks. As an endgame player that buys every campaign pass and never finished a season below 1 million VP, it’s still no fun to do PvP chores. Especially since books are gone without a proper replacement. But there’s hope. Since shiny keys have become more important recently and also shiny dust improvement has been implemented into kingdom progression, burning marks (immortal souls) hopefully might get a similar treatment. Or at least put some daily burning marks into VIP rewards. They need to be updated anyways. No need for glory or a few basic keys, when there’s gold marks, burning marks or Dragonite around. Talking from the perspective of a VIP 15 that plays since 2017 …
Simple answer: it doesn’t matter, does it?
I mean, most people are annoyed about the current system, and they’d be annoyed about the cost going up, but generally not enough to affect anything (still gonna play the same, still gonna pay the same). After a while, they’ll forget the old cost and focus on the fact they can get immortal souls. Then they’d be complaining about not being able to target specific souls.
Sure, some people might be fine with the change, but those that aren’t fine will just move on, like with all the other changes the devs make.
But more than that, the devs WANT us spending a ton of resources on bad RNG, losing resources and buying more. So, there’s no way they’ll remove the RNG and crap drops. So it doesn’t matter, anyway.
