Yes. Devour avoids the rebound. I devoured a fully traited Gloom Leaf last night and did not get any rebound damage.
But did you do it with a spell or fully traited Maw’s skull damage?
I did it with the Great Maw’s spell. I also may have done it with its attack in another battle though, but I am not sure about that.
That does feel odd… How much rebound damage would you take from a mega attacks from multiple skulls from a Sheggra cast? Surely that caps out at half x total life+armour of the enemy hit…?
It will do 50%, but it depends how they lay. If they are all connected, it would be a low number like 30-60, so 15-30ish rebound. If they are all separate, it will keep repeating for each individual skull pair from the lead troop’s attack. This can do 100s of damage, so half of 100s of damage less.
