Yep, you can Disenchant to zero but you cannot ascend to zero

The extra one is never lost unlike the other 40.
Ascending once requires 6, but only costs 5. Leaving 1 for the next ascension.

Yeah, I see now, after ascension it leaves one copy. As many as I’ve ascended I should have remembered that lol.
The news of this weeks PVP event says you get both souls and glory. I am assuming leaving the glory listed in the blue box was a mistake as I am not getting glory when I win at pvp.

By “correcting” you made the event give 2x both?
Looks like they just changed it, but no glory given. Sucks, I cashed out glory for chests thinking I was able to build back up with this event. Gonna hope I earn enough for next weeks now!
