Adventure Board, a personal reckoning

Also RE: Shards keep in mind there aren’t infinite factions. Once there is 1 per kingdom, the value of shards will dramatically drop. Right now we scramble to get enough to get/push to mythic the troops from the next released faction. Once they stop releasing, the biggest pressure valve on your hoard will be stuck open forever.

Gems are the only eternal currency in the game. So it’s no surprise they tried (and succeeded) to fool most of you by reducing them but showing how what you get is “the same”.

Top tasks:

  • 7 for 20 gems
  • 0 for 100 gems

Bottom tasks:

  • 6 common tasks
  • 6 rare tasks
  • 4 ultra-rare tasks
  • 5 epic tasks
  • 0 legendary tasks
  • 0 mythic tasks

Summing up the things I care about gets me:

  • 270 gems
  • 8 high value keys, a mix of gems keys and event keys
  • 8 glory keys
  • 455 glory

A glorious week. Unfortunately, it doesn’t shine in any other regards, average number of gems, low number of high value keys. The reward tables keep striking me as odd, like the common tasks Search for Gold and Search for Keys. The former yields 5000 gold, a convertible currency. The latter yields 9 gold keys, a bound currency with 9 * 300 = 2700 gold value. I guess math is overrated in Australia. This week amounts to a loss of roughly 100 gems.

TL;DR: Slight disappointment.
