I’ve reluctantly resigned myself to the fact that crossplay or cross save is probably never going to happen but what about account migration to another platform?
I’m going to be leaving Xbox due to them making their eco-system irrelevant with their ridiculous decisions over the past few years and moving myself fully over to Steam. My Gems account that i’ve had since day one and have spent 1000’s of hours on and god knows how much money will be stuck on Xbox. I’ve no desire to start over from scratch on another platform after everything i’ve put into the game.
Will there be a way for people like me fleeing the sinking Xbox ship to carry on elsewhere or is it a case of just quitting the game for good?
I think i already know the answer to this question but i thought i’d ask anyway

I have a few ex console players in my guild (maybe you remember Gumby, the top leaderboard player?) and unfortunately, you are right. It’s basically quitting and starting from scratch.
The good news is that you will level much faster with being able to collect tribute hourly on your phone as well as the computer. You also have a better knowledge of the game so you won’t be traiting EoE and Bandit all the way. 
It’s really a lot more fun with Steam because you can easily access discord to store your teams and get pings for pet rescues, etc.

Hi Anam, thanks for your reply. I really wish i’d just started on PC/mobile 10 years ago but i foolishly went with Xbox 
I’m not willing to start all over again so i’d just break the addiction and go play something else instead. It would probably do me good

If you get bored looking for something else, just know that you can get up there pretty quick with a new account these days. It’s so much easier and faster - especially in a good guild to provide you with all the resources. Remember, as long as you’re having fun, that’s all that matters!

I run a top 30 guild and have pretty much everything on my Xbox account plus i’m VIP 15 so starting over would just annoy the hell out of me to be honest and that alone would kill my fun
