Comparing a nomal mythic with ultimate dragon is just unfair. Not everybody has stella and chrys. I don’t have chrys, for example.
Immortal Glaycia deals 0.6x magic true damage 5 times. That’s 3x magic true total. Liekki does 1x magic + 1x life normal damage twice, which roughly equivalent to 4x magic twice, or if counting in player’s tendency of focusing on gaining magic, 3.5 x magic twice. So total damage Liekki wins out. Moreover, 5 hits naturally spread out more than 2 hits, so less chance of one-shot. Of course if in Winter’s Reach pvp region, Immortal Glaycia is better, by design.
If liekki deals true damage, not only life ratio need to be halved, its magic ratio too. If life steal, life ratio should be further reduced, to 3:1 (modelling on Vlad the unsated).
I don’t mind 3rd trait have some tweak. I just won’t base my team building decision on that trait. Liekki fills the role of heavy hitter, not support, anyway.
She has a place, but everyone has their own preference. You get Stellarix going faster or you buff up the new mythic to do absurd damage while not worrying about submerge. I prefer Immortal Glaycia and Virago (and even Suna sometimes) because there is a lot of team synergy and the mana flows really well for my PvP Fey set-ups. And because those troops deal double damage in their respective regions, Liekki will be less efficient by default.
@Supa-N00b found a place for her, and that is nice to hear. If we have a Vulpacea Guild War, you could just make your team unkillable, while she eventually can win the battles for you.
I did not mean to sound like there was only one option, I was just saying that the options I listed above are what works best for me and is the most efficient use of my time.
I was definitely wrong about the new mythic. The only thing she really needs is a better final trait. Her damage and the ability to heal herself with an extra turn is a great combination. I was able to fight off some of the hardest teams in Central Spire quite easily.
I liked using Titan because the team has a slow start, but once it gets going, you can shrug off almost anything (as long as Fenix is not stunned). Azaleus can increase Liekki’s damage and create 4+gem matches, Vulpine Fangs creates a leaf storm and generates tons of mana, Liekki can easily defeat 2 enemies at a time, and Fenix can bless and enchant everyone to fight off Elementalist.
I do not care about vault weekends much anymore, which gave me time to appreciate this troop. This Queen of Nature has brought harmony to Vulpacea.
That shows another strong point of 1x life boost - spell that increase life is super common.
Other options include King Eberron (fey, 50% mana start), Waterborn Priestess (elemental), Waterborn Templar (elemental), Archdruid (elemental), Silver Oak (elemental), Sun Sprite (fey/elemental), Domovoi (fey).
I don’t think it’s as GOOD as some people say, but I also don’t think its as BAD as some people say.
It’s very serviceable and has a boost ratio worth building around, which is pretty rare in this one troop does everything meta. Hits semi-hard as is (300+ to 2 enemies without help isn’t the worst)
Last trait even works in tandem with the spell, so that’s appreciated.
My favorite feature is probably the entangle all + extra turn, which no one else may care about, but Hind is also a Fey that gets broken at Shiny Level 2 when all enemies are entangled..
My gripe once again.. I’m kinda sick of the 24 mana baseline for all mythics. I’m not convinced that’s based on balance and its more based on laziness + template.
(also I wouldn’t lose sleep if they changed that 3rd trait either. Would be ecstatic if this was the Green Storm at the start of every troop that we still don’t have after 10 years)
Yes! I substituted Arboreal Crystal for the violet bonus and for Liekki, but I’ll try Fox Fang too. It covers all the allies. Thank you for your suggestion.
